The access to hotel was a little tricky to figure out. There was a sign that said turn at signal which i erroneously interpreted as stoplight...Staff was EXCELLENT!!

What really stands out is the great staff. The wonderful person that checked us in, Kaitlin, was smiling, friendly, efficient, so helpful. It was an excellent start. We only stayed one night, and had a nice evening. We were in town to see a friend’s band, No Time For Fame at Imminent Brewing. Lots of things to see and do in walking distance. Room was clean with a microwave and cold refrigerator for our…”beverages”. Bathroom was nice. The tub/shower drain…drained! Breakfast was what was expected, good sausage links, scrambled eggs, and American fries. Bunch of other stuff including waffles. I’ll stay there again.

the night staff was terrible , wouldn't answer the door after hours. couldn't do my laundry . not friendly at all.

On behalf of our entire staff at Country Inn & Suites, Northfield MN we apologize for the concerns you shared about your experience at this hotel. You were told that the laundry room closes at 10pm and you decided to prop open the door and disregard what you were told. When she came down to close the door because they can not be propped open due to fire code you got aggressive towards her. She told you that when you needed to get back in the laundry room to come grab her and she'd open the door for you. In the future when you are told the door locks at 10pm and laundry is closed maybe you will listen and not go around our policies and think you can do whatever you want. Remember you were told before the fact what time the laundry room closed and you still decided to start it. We appreciate the feedback and will use it to fine tune our operations in the hope that upon your next visit we can exceed your expectations.

When I first entered the room, I noticed that the sheer curtain was ripped (approximately a 12" rip) that was repaired with a white piece of tape, but was ripped again in the same spot. I honestly wanted to remove the curtain, go down to Target and pick up a new one for $10 and hand both to the service counter, but I didn't. There was also damage to the wall that hugged the shower surround that appeared to be painted over - but looked horrible. And then I went to use a wash cloth for my face and it had a huge dirty spot that was about 5" wide in the center of it. Did it not get washed before folding it up and setting it in the clean stack of wash clothes? I'm not going to be staying here again!!!

Loved this hotel!
Loved the hotel. Great room. Friendly and responsive staff. Breakfast was great - loved the potatoes especially. Walking distance to downtown Northfield.

Train kept me up all night
I did not sleep at all!!! Horribly loud train runs all night long!!! Whistles, horns, brakes…train kept me up all night (and I had ear plugs.). When I checked out, I commented on the train. The woman at the front desk just told me there are warnings on the. Internet about the train noise and I should have asked for a room on the “other side.” She was almost laughing at me. I had no idea about the train!!! It was horrible! Would definitely have driven farther to be able to sleep at night!

The bed the pillows in the shower were excellent. The bed was very very comfortable. We fell asleep right away, and the shower was strong, and they use water softener. The breakfast is OK.

They gave me a room and there was a spider, they moved me to another room next door and there was the smell of chemicals that they fumigated and I started having a headache I couldn't sleep because of the smell and finally they moved me to another room on the second floor and everything was ok.

Decent hotel, although it could use some updates. The room was comfortable, but walls were scuffed up. My biggest complaint was the price. Our room was quite expensive on a weekend. We stayed because of the convenience, but it really was not worth the price, especially considering the building doesn't have a guest elevator.

We had a good stay! It warns of train noise, but we honestly could not hear any trains, so I wouldn't worry about it. Only issue was the eggs were a bit salty, and potato's a bit brown. Everything else was great!
