Nice motelPosted Oct 28, 2013
The motel was nice, pool and hot tub were nice and clean! The service was nice and friendly. I would stay again. Walls are thin.

DisappointingPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Nothing of note.
Cons: Overall upgrade is needed and friendlier staff. More customer oriented staff.
Location: The hotel was hard to find. Signage needs improvement to make it more visible from the main road.
I have stayed at other Days Inns and have been pleased. The Days Inn in Faribault was disappointing. The lobby was dingy, halls narrow and the room very small. But importantly there was only marginally warm water in the shower and sink. When I mentioned this at check out the attendant just stated they would notify the facilities mechanic. Nothing said about being sorry or trying to compensate for the inconvenience.

Nice hotel with easy access to highway.Posted Sep 24, 2013
Pros: Everything was clean and it is quiet there.
Cons: It was much cleaner this year, but the breakfast is still poor, most everyone goes somewhere else for breakfast. Sometimes hard to find staff.
I stay here every year, the rates are good. The first year I stayed I swore I wouldn't return because it was so run down, but things have changed for the better. It is still an older hotel, but it is clean and quiet.

the desk clerk was not at the front desk when I checked in at 8pm. Finally I read a crusty note taped to a phone on the desk advising to use the phone if I needed the desk clerk. There was a clerk at the desk the next day but the phone and note were still there. So, this must be a common practice.

Thin walls, made it hard to sleepPosted Jul 29, 2013
Cons: Sound proofing is needed
Location: Great price, but I was there for a wedding so I used it for sleep only.
Room was clean, but due to thin walls and loud neighbors it was hard to sleep. Staff was helpful, but little they good do about it.

Nice hotel with outstanding servicePosted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: Spacious deluxe room that offered fridge microwave and the outstanding staff
Cons: The bath could use updating and the florescent lighting gave the room an institutional feel and not a warm cozy feeling.
Location: The location was not close to downtown but having the gas station, liquor store and fast food restaurant nearby sufficed our needs.
The Days Inn Faribault offered a clean, spacious deluxe room complete with fridge and microwave. The bath was a little cramped but clean nonetheless. The staff was super. Upon check in, Cindy at the front desk proved to be an outstanding asset to this hotel. She was very busy with guests checking in, the phone ringing and others waiting to have questions answered. Cindy handled it with ease and patience and was excellent in providing additional needs right down to the corkscrew. :) Mary the housekeeper was very friendly and quick to provide extra towels and switch out the bedding when requested. She's a hard worker who seems to enjoy her job and is also a great asset to this hotel. Overall, our stay was excellent and would recommend this hotel to others staying in Southern MN.
