“Relax and Enjoy”
Looking for a great place to unwind? The Inn is charming and has great water views. Because the owner has properties adjacent, there are acres to enjoy as well as wonderful walking paths. Our third floor suite was charming and billed at a low room rate. The continetal breakfast is complementary and creatively special. Swimming, boating. Can't wait to return.
“Robert Morris Inn - Oxford, MD”
Great stay. Were in the Sandaman area with a water view. Everyone was great. Nice breakfast and they were willing to work with my wife who has food allergies.
“Lovely”
A wonderful place to stay, very friendly staff and interesting hotel history.
“Authentic!”
Everything felt true to this Inn's old heritage, down to the smell of old wax and cigars. We were upgraded to a lovely suite. The bed was extremely comfortable. Water pressure was excellent. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
“A Pleasant Place”
The Robert Morris Inn is a lovely bed and breakfast with exceptional service. Breakfast at the tavern was delicious- we'd recommend the old bay potatoes! We will definitely be back ;)
“A quiet rest, relaxation and a Ferry right outside the front door!”
Oxford, Md. is a quiet, restored historic town right in the heart of the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeke. Truly a haven for the quick get-a-way easily accessible to Easto, St Michaels and Tilghman Island for walking, biking, antiquing and meals. The hotel offers a view of the lake and quietness for rest and relazation. The price is reasonable and the service is excellent. Fortunately, the shopping malls have not yet overwhelmed the quaint atmosphere as yet.
“Perfect Romantic Get-away!”
The Robert Morris Inn in Oxford, MD, is the perfect location to escape from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The room booked through Expedia was in Carriage House at the Waterfront Sandaway Lodge. Great spacious room with a water view, and no TV--perfect! The staff packaged crab cakes for us to take home that were outstanding. Overall great value!
“Winter get-away”
The Robert Morris Inn in winter is very quiet. Our accomodations included a king bed in a separate room, a sitting room, and bath and no tv/phone, nicely relaxing. Dinner was in the tavern (we'd hoped for white tablecloth) but the food was superb. We both ordered a glass of prosecco which turned out to be a split. Very respectable wine list. We skipped appetizers and both ordered the beef Wellington ($38) which came with fresh sauteed spinach and carrots and was very filling, even without a starch. Dessert was Smith Island cake and coffee. Very satisfying dinner. The prices were easily comparable to DC...Breakfast came with the room and we had a choice of almost anything you could want, from yogurt and fruit to pancakes to eggs Benedict (and fresh-sqeezed OJ). Everything was cooked to order (crisp bacon!). Service at both dinner and breakfast was attentive. It was a great get-away and more than just a nice dinner for Valentine's day. Oxford is very quiet and St. Michael's, about 15 minutes away, is only a bit busier but nothing like the city!
“Charming”
It was a wonderful old Inn . It was in wonderful shape and the restaurants food was excellent. Ideal spot for a quite relaxing weekend.
“Nice accomodations in a quiet little town.”
A well kept old inn with alot of character. Lovely location near the river. Everyone friendly and interested in making your stay a pleasant one. Excellent crab cakes.
