Nice Modern HotelPosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: Modern feel
Cons: More hotel information in the rooms, softer pillows, better windows!
Location: Close to Blenheim Palace, and not too far from Oxford
We stayed for one night whilst visiting Oxford. The hotel is very nice, the rooms very clean, modern and comfortable, although I did find the pillows a little too hard which effected my sleep. The windows are not very sound proof, which was highlighted by a selfish lady from a wedding reception in the Ball Room outside on the telephone late at night talking at the top of her voice even though a number of guests banged on the window to tell her to SHUT UP! I would also like to see more information about the hotel in the room. Apart from a little room service menu there was nothing about the restaurant, bar area/bar food, hotel facilities/adjoining hotel facilities, breakfast times etc. Again at breakfast I think it would have helped if there had of been a menu displaying what could be ordered, instead we were told we could order porridge and poached eggs, but looking around after we had eaten it seemed apparent that other guests had ordered "special requests". We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was very nice, the atmosphere was lovely and couldn't fault anything. On the whole it is a pleasant hotel and I would stay again, and would be better prepared now having more knowledge of the hotel.

Nice hotel - however ha a corporate feel about itPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The welcoming service and the rooms which were nicely decorated and comfortable although small.
Cons: The breakfast location and the service at breakfast
Location: great location although in the middle of nowhere. We were in the area to visit an open studio at Potato Town. chipping norton is a short drive away
We spent one night here and had a very nice room, contemporarily decorated, lovely comfortable bed , although it was a little small. Nice big shower and plenty of hot water. We also had a balcony which was a an interesting affair given that you literally had to clamber over a huge chair/sofa to get out of the door. Staff on reception were very welcoming and we were checked in without incidence. We did not use any of the facilities apart from the bar in the evening. I would not say this hotel would be good for an intimate romantic night as it has a huge number of rooms but it did feel very efficient. It was very busy in the evening with a lot of corporate people and golfers. Service was ok but drinks were a little on the expensive side. We had breakfast which was very nice but served in an odd way, in my opinion. The location was a mezzanine balcony. The odd thing was the tables and chairs where you were served breakfast which more designed for a a cup of coffee and a biscuit rather than sitting up for a full english breakfast. We felt precarious balancing plates on tables and sitting on edge of seats - perhaps this was because we were not part of a corporate group, since the area was small and i could not imagine this would be a great location for serving a large number of people. The grounds and the house looked very nice but as we said we didnt stay for long enough to enjoy them. You do need a car to stay here and get the best out of the area

Overall nice hotel, but small roomsPosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and i stayed at this hotel over August Bank holiday weekend, so it was extremely busy, but I felt the staff coped well - For example, they had set up an overflow breakfast room so we enjoyed a relaxed and leisurely breakfast with no queues for the buffet. Overall this is a nice hotel in a beautiful setting. Our only complaint was the room which was small to say the least. With a double bed there was littte room to move around. Even though we had a balcony, the strangely designed room had wall where a window should have been which mean the room was dark and had the lights on all of time. The bed also gave me a backache. However, we enjoyed the weekend and would recommend the hotel if you don't want to spend too much time in your room!

Pros: Everything from staff friendliness to the decor of the rooms.
Cons: Stronger Wi-fi connection, signal seemed a bit weak all round the hotel.
Location: Spa, swimming pool, bar, golf, steam room.
Fantastic experience walking around and taking in the views. Food and staff simply outstanding and would recommend to a friend.

Comfortable and modern hotel with good facilities.Posted Aug 26, 2013
Pros: A convenient hotel after a day at Blenheim Palace with the advantage of a pool and spa.
Cons: We would have appreciated wifi in the hotel to keep in touch with our children at home and a bath, rather than just a shower, would have been nice.
Location: Blenheim palace Stow in the wold Broadway
After a day sight seeing the hotel offered a relaxing evening. We chose the hotel because of the pool and spa and these amenities were superb. The evening meal was delicious (though 6 chips seemed a little on the mean side!) and the breakfast choice was comprehensive and tasty.

The hotel and staff were really nice and helpful. The meal in the bar area was good a little pricey but very nice. The room was just like it showed on the website very clean and well maintained. I just thought charging for Internet use was out of order. £5 for first hour.overall very good
