“Would stay here again.....was very nice to me and my son.”

I was very pleased by the staff at the Hotel and the rooms. Also, the breakfast was wonderful and fresh. Very close to transportation.

“Not a terrible experience.”

The only problem was the inaccessiblity to the city and ease of food servce. This was not made clear and I am a diabetic: it caused problems already exascerbated by traveling,

“Not what I expect from HIE”

Not what I expect from a Holiday Inn Express. When I asked for a wake up call, they said they didn't do wake up calls, I said there wasn't an alarm clock in the room, so how do I ensure waking up at the right time? They did say they'd find me an alarm clock, then told me I needed to come downstairs to pick it up...right! The front desk staff were good in helping me with directions. My American colleague suggested that we go elsewhere for the second night even thoug we'd paid in advance, which we did.

“Only if you have no other choices in Oxford”

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Oxford and requires a 15 minute drive to the center of the city. The rooms although modern and clean are very small and designed for efficiency. The location is next to a football stadium so prepare for noise and lots of rowdy people on the weekends. The free self-serve breakfast is sufficient, but does not provide for English staples like eggs or bacon. Internet is extra and expensive. All in all something to consider for a short stay or when traveling through. Other than that too expensive and frankly speaking too much of an ugly duckling.
