Central and nice atmosphere

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: There was an error about a forgotten early telepone call. It could have been for an airport but fortunately wasn't!
Location: Right in the heart of the centre of the city. Excellent
Room service efficient and fast. Front desk efficient - slight problem with accents and language

Nice old building and well located!

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Generally nice room and common areas
Cons: Make sure there isn't black mould all over the grouting between the tiles in the bath/shower
Location: Close to many of the colleges like Magdalen, Lincoln and New College and close to restaurants and shops on the high street.
I stayed for one night on 23rd March. Nice to stay in centre of oxford in old quaint building. Bathrooms had black mould all over grouting - thats kind of quaint but probably really just a bit grubby! If it wasn't for this, I would have rated the hotel 4 out of 5!

Hotel needs lots of TLC.

Posted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: All the facilities and amenities (and a lift that goes to the 3rd floor). Some hoovering and dusting wouldn't go a miss.
Location: Located down the quieter end of the high street.
Really run down hotel in central oxford. The rooms were dusty, smelly and very, very tired. The bathroom was just just plain dirty. Everything you would expect to be there, was there (sort of), but it was old and worn. Every bit of wood seemed to be chipped. No drinks in the mini bar and laughably a leaflet on reception proclaimed I would be greeted with some complementary water in my room (no danger of that being there). Was there a week and glad to get home...

Perfect position in central Oxford with car park

Posted Feb 1, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable, nice bar, the location for central Oxford couldn't be better, they have a car park which is rare in central Oxford
Cons: They charge guests an extra £15 a day for the car park (hence one 'star' less in my review)
Location: A short walk to anywhere in the centre, so great for tourists, students' parents, people doing business in central Oxford etc.
Stayed here 5 nights whilst on business in central Oxford.

Oxford Trip

Posted Jan 22, 2014
Pros: It was very comfortable. It had wireless which I used quite a bit. I went to Oxford on business; the hotel was perfect for my needs. Great breakfast.
Cons: I wish that there was a fitness room in the hotel. When I travel, I like to work out after I get up in the morning.
Location: The local was perfect to attend my meeting and tour Oxford. The bus from and to Heathrow stopped less than two blocks from the hotel.
I attended a conference at the Physics Department in Oxford University. The Hotel was in a very convenient location. Everywhere I went was within a fifteen minute walk. The staff were wonderful; the public areas and the room were very comfortable.
