One of our favourite "getaway from it all" hotels!Posted Apr 20, 2011
A lovely hotel in a beautiful, peaceful location in the heart of the Cotswolds. The staff can't do enough for you and seem to take a real pride in the hotel. The food is superb and outstanding value for money, although the drink prices tend to compensate in the opposite direction - but even they aren't overly expensive for a Cotswolds hotel. Kingham itself is quiet with very few facilities, so you need to travel to the usual tourist traps if that is what you want - but it's always nice to return to the Mill House for a drink in the garden or lounge, whilst looking forward to another superb meal! The room we stayed in was a bit tired, but it was in the 17th century part of the hotel - and we paid a lower tarif through Expedia, so I can't complain. I know from previous visits that other rooms are bigger and better furnished. To sum up, my wife and I are already looking forward to our next visit!
