Wonderful stay at The Old Parsonage in OxfordPosted Jun 24, 2014
Location: Lovely walk down to the town center, where you can see museums and colleges. Lots of evening events at different colleges. Shopping at bookstores.
I can't say enough about our recent stay at the Old Parsonage. Every aspect of the hotel was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful, calm, and comfortable. The library for patrons was amazing- we spent two hours here after dinner one night, sipping wine that was brought up for us there. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We had high tea in the courtyard our first day and it was delicious. I will def. return to this hotel.

Nice hotel in Oxford centerPosted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Staff very efficient, friendly, helpful. Great location and historic building make it nice.
Cons: They used to have in room coffee and tea makers and real pitchers of milk in the mini fridge which was divine for the jet lagged traveller. Tubs impt.
Location: Oxford university is right there all around you.
I loved the hotel more before they redid it. The smaller rooms don't have bathtubs anymore. The rooms have all been redecorated in pinstriped mens suit fabric. Its like sleeping in a businessman's meeting. The new decor is cold gray and black whereas before it was a beautiful soothing white and cream. On the plus side, the mattresses are fantastic, the service has improved, the food is very good, the location is excellent and its a nice small hotel and there isn't another to compare in Oxford.

Wonderful experience.Posted Jun 4, 2014
Pros: Location and service quality.
Location: All the attractions of Oxford esp The Ashmolean Museum. The restaurants in Oxford are reasonably priced, good quality and polite service.
I would recommend the hotel to anyone going to Oxford. It is 5 minutes walk from the city centre. For anyone who wants to visit Oxford without being in the centre itself this is a great location. The service is excellent and very polite and attentive staff. The restaurant is excellent too.

Nice hotel but expensivePosted Jun 2, 2014
Excellent staff. Immaculate condition. Comfy room. Great shower. Lovely library area to relax in. On the down side there's no tea / coffee making facilities in room and they charge you for delivering this to your room. Think this is not ideal when they're charging you more than £200 per night! Our room was also by a fire door which woke us up early in the morning each night we stayed. Having said that it's a lovely hotel.

ExcellentPosted May 13, 2014
Great staff. Great location. Clean, new and well-appointed facility. Great food. But, rooms can be noisy and the main road directly outside is always busy--with noise spilling into outside seating area.

Charming hotel in the centre of OxfordPosted May 12, 2014
Fantastic service and an overall excellent hotel, although expensive. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for something special and can't wait to return! The attention to detail is without doubt the best I have had in an English hotel - plenty of well known London hotels could learn from the Old Parsonage. The food was delicious too, and relatively reasonably priced. If you're looking to stay somewhere special in Oxford I can't imagine a better place to stay.

Renovations are fantasticPosted Apr 18, 2014
With the completion of the major renovations, the Old Parsonage is both stylish and very comfortable. Excellent staff and facilities. We even rode the hotel bikes around town. The new guest-only library is our favorite exclusive reading room in Oxford. We'll be back!
