Lovely hotelPosted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: The friendly welcome from all the staff.
Had a brilliant stay at the Cherry Tree Inn. The landlord could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and comfortable, clean and very quiet. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was fab.

Superb pub/InnPosted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: the whole thing
Location: set in smallish village/town, restaurants and other pubs plus shops not far, Didcot, Oxford close by.
great place to stay, staff and management most welcoming, Rooms off courtyard, Large, clean and very well set out, Noise from the courtyard can be a bit loud but it is a pub, so acceptable, food is great with good variety on offer at reasonable prices, Breakfast is super and will definitely set you up for the day, All in all a good experience and highly recommended.

Friendly Pub with Excellent FoodPosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Quality of the food and friendliness of the manager and staff.
Cons: We understand that a refurbishment programme is underway. This will improve the overall appearance of the rooms.
Location: Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Bicester Shopping Village.
This pub is under new management. Some rooms are above the main building, and some at the back beside the courtyard. Four of us stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights, one in each location. Both were very acceptable. We were delighted by the quality of the food and ate there both nights instead of going further afield. The room rate was very reasonable and included an excellent full breakfast. Some of the previous comments refer to breakfast being too late. This has now changed with the new management and can be taken earlier. Based on our stay, I would recommend this accommodation to family & friends.

good value innPosted Jun 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
stayed one night to attend our sons graduation. Arrived in the evening and had booked table to eat in restaurant. Food wan nice good price and good service. Room was fine - nice toiletries, tea, coffee and bottled water with nice biscuits. bed was rather springy! we were in courtyard room but even though it was quiz night it wasn't too loud. Good choice for breakfast and great location to get to Oxford quickly and easily in the morning. overall good value inn with accommodation, handy for oxford, would recommend

Characterful hotel with nicest rooms upstairs.Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: Characterful. Good breakfasts. Friendly staff.
Cons: The hotel needs freshening up & some renovation in places. I hope this will happen with the new management. Security could be improved upstairs.
Location: Easy to find. It is wise to remember that this is a pub and therefore can be noisy as there is a large outside patio area.
We had two stays. The first was spoilt by poor bathroom facilities & a blocked toilet system which was not dealt with speedily or efficiently. Under the previous management, we were never sure who was responsible & we felt the problem was not taken seriously. Our animals were welcome which is a big plus. The second stay started badly as we had previously chosen an upstairs room which was booked when we arrived. The booking had come through for one person. Fortunately there was a room available. This appeared to be the fault of the booking agency.

Comfortable and cleanPosted May 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
I only stayed for one night but it suited my needs. It was clean, comfortable and I was pleased with the refreshments (including bottled water). Check in was easy and there was no problem with parking. If you need a quiet room or an early night (before 11pm), this may not be the best option for you as the rooms overlook the outdoor seating area and this is also the smoking area, so you can hear people talking loudly/clearly outside the window or door. Wasn't an issue for me, but could be for some.

Good valuePosted May 12, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: The bed wasn't good, springy, noisy and sloped to the middle.
Under restoration, so probably even better next time. We had to miss breakfast due to early start in Oxford, but that was also because breakfast didnd't start until 9am, which is far too late. They should start at least 08.30 as lots of people want to get away.
