Charming Cosy and lovley locationPosted Oct 11, 2013
We had a wonderful stay at the Swan which was a Birthday treat from my husband - The location is just lovely and for warmth, charm, and cosiness the Swan is a must. - I particularly loved the hotwater bottle given as part of the turndown service - just so thoughtful - Staff were so lovely and really made you feel very welcome. Theyre were so many nice little touches like the complimentary Sloe`s gin, nice toiletries, slippers, dressing gown - You really do feel pampered - We dined on both nights of our stay in the restaurant and again it lived up to the high standards that have been set by the management - We would highly recommend and look foward to returning

Beautiful hotel and restaurantPosted Oct 9, 2013
Two beautiful buildings, very nice mix of old traditional building and new decoration. Hotel staff were very welcoming and professional. Bar staff and waitresses were amazing. As always there is a However....... The restaurant manager ruined what could of been a perfect stay. He was rude, stuck up and incompetent. He made us wait 15 minutes for a table for dinner then walked us to a table past 8 that were empty and this was at 9pm so not like they were reserved. Take him out of the equation and it's a nice place

One night stay at Minster Mill, 10th wedding annivPosted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Very peaceful, great food.
Beautiful old buildings set in a very peaceful surroundings. The Mill itself and the Old Swan are very cosy - the other hotel facilities were surprisingly extensive, and the 65 acre grounds were far bigger than I expected. We had a fantastic evening meal in the Swan - but it does fill up so I reccomend booking.

Wonderful hotel, but not the greatest room...Posted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The service and the food were excellent. Our only gripe was the room... our double room felt like a single, being rather cramped and with the small bed pushed against a wall, such that there was only a bedside table on one side. At this price for a room we definitely expected better.

Pros: the location, the restaurant is also really good - it is very relaxed and calm
Cons: the room was a bit small although very confortable.
Location: it is really quiet, so if you like to do walks and just take it easy it is worth a visit

Lovely setting perfect for couples and families.Posted Aug 17, 2013
Pros: The gardens and the homely feel of the place.
Cons: Prices in the bar.
Location: Wonderful peaceful location.
We visited the hotel as a mini Honeymoon after our wedding in Sussex. We were made very welcome by the staff and were impressed by the attention to detail. The grounds were beautiful and perfect for a stroll after breakfast. Food was very enjoyable.

Beautiful ResortPosted Jul 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was a beautifully maintained property. There were plenty of opportunities to find a quiet spot to enjoy the lovely surroundings. The staff was friendly and helpful in planning day trips to the local sites. The room was spacious and entirely comfortable.

Very nice and great area -- so many places to visit, nice walks, and close to Oxford... they couldn't replace a fan but it was okay because of cool nights. Small rooms and nice atmosphere... good food, but expensive.
