"What a lovely resort!!"
We arrived having been to Fiji many times in the past but I found this little gem online and thought we'd give it a go. Our room suite 2 was 2 levels with it's own private plunge pool, spa bath and 2 decks (one on each level). Stunning! The food which is included, is the best I have eaten in Fiji. The staff and service is exceptional. When we suggested that the drinks needed to arrive quickly, from then on that's exactly what happened. We were treated just like family and staff always remembered our names (which is always lovely). Would be great for families also. We were a couple, who will be back!

"A great holiday :)"
A bit of a heart-stopping moment at the airport where we tried to get our online boarding passes and realised our passports needed to have 6 months to expiry from the date of our arrival home! Ours expire at the end of April. A quick call to Fiji immigration by the Air NZ staff soon had us on our way. The Nadi airport staff were very friendly, almost to the point of being lax, so we wondered what all the fuss was about re passport expiry dates. We booked and caught the TTF bus from the airport to the resort when we arrived. This cost FJ$54 for the 3 of us and took 3 hours. Very cheap, air conditioned and well worth the money if you're not in a hurry! The Uprising resort was absolutely beautiful. The food, though fairly pricey, was faultless. The buffet brekkie - YUM! My daughters got massages, kayaked, swam, sunbathed and did all the usual resort activities. A must-do is the Fiji-night on Thursdays where we experienced a lovo, drank kava, and were entertained by a lovely group of performers. The highlight was the fire dance and the bonfire afterwards. Another highlight was the River-canoeing excursion where we swam at a waterfall about an hour inland, visited an isolated Fijian village, had more kava and a lovo meal, floated down-river on bamboo rafts and met some very interesting people. We had to catch a taxi back to the airport which cost FJ$170 but got us there in plenty of time and the driver was very accommodating. Overall, an awesome and memorable experience

"Great quality for the price you pay"
Had an awesome week staying with friends at the pearl over the Nee Yeard period. Staff were excellent when we needed help, and offered lots of entertainment and chat during the day/night. Would highly recommend the Pearl to other groups.
