“A little disappointed”

There was a lot of remodeling going on inside the hotel lobby, which caused things to be shuffled around. Our largest disappointment was with the POOL. While it was operational, it was extremely cold, and hidden by the construction. There was a minor note on the website that they were remodeling. They needed to play that up. The remodeling does affect the impression of the hotel and services available.

“Comfortable and Clean”

This hotel is "under contruction" and the noise was distracting to our stay. However, this is an excellant property dispite the distractions and they did stop by 6 PM and started at 8 AM. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit and the staff was more than accommodating. The room was very clean and well maintained; the amenities were in excellent condition (TV, Micro, Ref). We would stay again even with the noise distraction. WE were gone most days anyway enjoying the area and its attractions.

Area recommendations

We had some of the BEST meals in the immediate surroundings. The hotel is in a Park like area and offers excellent sights (for fall folage and exercise areas for walking or running. Across the highway is a FABRIC store that has more selections than any other retail store; but does mostly internet sales. The catalog is the best souvenir for good use by quilters.

“2 star hotel with 4 star prices.”

There were maintenance employees in front of the desk laughing and talking loudly like drunks in a bar. Rooms were still being cleaned at 5pm. The room smelled of strong chemicals. The elevator was gross. They actually charge for breakfast, with tip $9. I left after 2 nights and went to the Hampton which is much nicer, no charge for a very nice breakfast and the same rate! Does Marriot check their hotels?

“Overpriced and Underimpressive”

This was far too pricey and I'm sure because it's a 'businessman catering' hotel they get away with it, But I should have driven across the river to Illinois or chosen a different Paducah hotel. I'm never staying here again and I most certainly would never recommend it to friends or business colleagues. The staff asked about my stay I told them about the room and they said 'okay'. Most hotels I stay at on business have a complimentary breakfast (no matter how small). I was "given" a complimentary breakfast but ONLY because the card reader was down and I had to have someone let me into the room when I needed to go up (then I could NOT go in and out of my room at my leisure).

“Accomdations”

I found the hotel to be a good place to stay. The room was quiet but then I have stayed in just as good of accomadations on this trip for less money. My biggest complaint was the exorbidant price for the breakfast. I had an identical breakfast at a competitors hotel the week before and it was free and the other hotels room as just as good.

“Wedding weekend”

We spent the evening preparing for our daughter's wedding. The hotel staff was unexpectedly very helpful to make our accomodations very acceptable and accessable for my family as we arrived. Thank you for the super nice room. It was very refreshing to have a clean comfortable room to come to after the wedding.

“Great Place to Stay!”

My wife and I took our daughter to go to Chuck E. Cheese and stay in a hotel with an indoor pool, so we chose this hotel. Everything was great: room size, bed, TV (a nice flat panel), and pool. If there was one thing to change, it would be in the room containing the swimming pool; it was a little cold. However, I would definitely stay here again.
