A day in Pagosa Springs

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: Very clean, our highest priority item for hotels.
Cons: Pay closer attention to the breakfast items especially when the hotel is not very busy.
Location: Good location. Minutes from good restaurants and hot springs attractions.
A very nice and well maintained hotel conveniently located just of CO highway 160. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. A nice hot breakfast is provided (scrambled eggs and sausage). The eggs could have been a little juicier but overall very acceptable. Also, just minutes from downtown.

Hotel Entrance Gives Comfy Feeling w/Fireplace

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Overall, the entrance of the Hotel did give one a comfy feeling AND having an indoor pool/jacuzzi is nice.
Cons: King size bed had very small pillows - there should be an extra set of pillows for the guests. The jacuzzi is nice but jets did not go on (timer??).
Location: Antique Shops - Memory Lane was nice about a mile down!
The room was okay but the room that we got was a handicapped room and no one/reservationist did not indicate to us that the room was a handicapped room. In the future they should make this a selection for guests. But... was overall okay for one night!

A Wonderful Hotel In Pagosa Springs

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The excellent complimentary breakfast buffet and the cleanliness of the entire hotel.
Cons: I cannot really think of anything.
Location: The Pagosa Hot Springs are wonderful and a must do if you are in Pagosa Springs.
The Hillside Inn exceeded our expectations and we will stay there again the next time we are in Pagosa Springs.

Excellent bargain

Posted Jun 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Hillside Inn is a little bit dated (e.g. older carpet, furniture, TV's, and bedding), but clean. The hotel staff provided prompt and courteous service. The breakfast quality and selection is on par with those found at large national chains and the rate was very reasonable. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would stay there again.

Needs some updating.

Posted Apr 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
The front desk person was very friendly. The room needs updating. It was clean, but the bathroom sink was kind of nasty with cracks and dirt that wouldn't come out. i wondered how much bacteria and germs were trapped in those cracks.

decent place to stay

Posted Apr 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
hotel staff was friendly and courteous. breakfast bar was better than expected. room was clean, hotel was clean, pool area appeared really nice. beds/pillows weren't perfect, but weren't terrible either. looks like the hotel could use some very minor upgrades (sink was aging/cracked, small amount of mold in shower stall), but for the value I was pleasantly pleased.
