Complete RelaxationPosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: peaceful, beautiful
Location: City by the Sea Museum
All we wanted was to get away and relax - no kids - no jobs - nothing. It was all that and more!!! Paula was so welcoming and provided such a pleasant atmosphere and an excellent breakfast. We lounged in the rockers on the front porch as it rained and listened to the sounds of the bay. We walked down the seawall. We enjoyed the claw foot tub. It was the most wonderful way to relax, refresh and recharge for our 23rd Wedding Anniversary. Definitely will be back.

Truth in Advertising - Peaceful BlissPosted Feb 26, 2015
Pros: Peaceful atmosphere, great location and view of the bay, beautifully decorated, personable inn keeper.
We were unlucky and had terrible weather for our stay so we spent a great deal of our time indoors. There are several beautiful, welcoming areas in the house. We especially enjoyed the enclosed porch. We could enjoy the outdoors without being outdoors! The dining room table was a great place to catch up on email. Our room had a lovely view of the bay though the bay window. There was a small table in front of the window with a comfortable chair - another great place to get some online work done or to read. Our inn keeper always had coffee, tea and hot chocolate ready and small treats available. Breakfasts were great!

Great get awayPosted Feb 10, 2015
Was impressed with the whole experience ! Ms Paula was very kind and gave us a free upgrade ! We stayed in the top floor suite. It was spacious yet cozy at the same time. Plan to return. Breakfast was an experience all by itself ! No continental breakfast here.

Truly PeacefulPosted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
This was without question our most enjoyable lodging experience, based on 60+ years of travel adventures. The owners are friendly and were very knowledgeable about the area and points of interest. There is no schedule, the guest is the focus, and they serve your breakfast when you come for it! There is a social hour in the late afternoon if you care to stop in for it, Rooms are large, and some have a Bay view that lets you watch the sun come up from your bed if you like! Sun rise over the Gulf can be wonderful. The hundred year old house has been modernized without losing its original charm. An award winning renovation example that is by itself worth the trip. If birding is your passion, the Palacios area has the largest variety of species of any place in the US.

Great Place with Wonderful ManagementPosted Jun 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
For a relaxing and accommodating stay on a very scenic portion of the Texas coast, it is tough to beat the Peaceful Pelican. The management is very accommodating, preparing breakfast at customer-specified times and providing local information and contacts. The parking and grounds accommodate boats on trailers, which is important to me. The B&B is equally nice for romantic getaways, family vacations, and sportsmen.

Traumhafter AusblickPosted Apr 22, 2014
Schönes Ambiente mit nostalgischem Flair, toller Meer (Bucht) Blick vom Zimmer "Magnolie" aber staubige Wände im Sonnenaufgang und mageres Frühstück trotz liebevoller Aufbereitung.

B&B on the BayPosted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Room was very spacious with it's own full bath, including a claw foot tub. Beautiful views of the bay. Room also had a small frig and microwave.
Cons: Bed was a sleep number type of bed. Wasn't sure how to use it, but it wasn't bad.
Location: Area is known for birding. Most bird varieties in the country. Fishing.
Had a wonderful time. Beautiful Edwardian home right on the bay.
