Great hotel and staffPosted Nov 15, 2013
Pros: The hotel had great character, friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast was more than enough. Great value.
Location: There are loads of bars restaurants and markets very close to the hotel.
The hotel is full of character and could not be better placed for access to Palermo's many beautiful buildings, the port and main railway station. The reception is accessed via stairs or lovely original lift and though Via Roma is one of the busiest roads in Palermo the road noise did not bother us. Santo and his team were great and nothing was too much trouble. Though the roads are extremely busy we were most impressed with the protocol that everyone respects and allows drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to happily co exist and go about their daily business. Information was freely available from lots of sources and the central station was particularly helpful.

Pros: The location was fantastic.
Cons: The bathroom drain/smell could be fixed.
You get what you pay for, and if you're ok with the very basics, then you'll be fine here. The room's drain in the bathroom was taped over; so, when you showered, there ended up being a small pond that needed to be mopped up. We un-taped the drain the second night and found out why it had been taped to begin with; as, an awful, sewage smell had begun to drift through the room. The room also had a rather small window, just big enough to crawl out of if there was an emergency, and had a terrible, to no, WiFi signal. Other than those two issues the room was clean, with a large double bed. Breakfast was simple (some bread, marmalade, biscuits, nutella and tea/coffee) but included. The staff spoke English and were helpful. The location was excellent. A short walk from the central train/bus station and the major tourist sites.

Good hotel in the city centre with excellent staffPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, lovely location, enjoyed the included breakfast of bread and croissants.
Cons: We were generally very happy.
Location: Right in the centre of Palermo, well placed for cafes and historical sights.
We were very impressed by the staff and by the location of the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Ordinary 3-star look-like hotel in generalPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Bath is ok, room is clean enough
Cons: The staff on reception should not be so greedy
In the evening I went to reception and saw a plate with sugar. I asked receptionist if I can take some. He said "yes" and how many packs (5g) did I need? I said "6" but wondered, what was the difference... He smiled and said "Ok, 3 euros" (!) I put the sugar back... In the morning I saw the same plate with sugar on every table in the dining hall. Of course, it was totally free.... Air-conditioning worked ok in the evening, but did not work in the morning. Unfortunately, breakfast here is only a croissant and toasts. Buffet would be much better.

It was cheap(in every sense)!Posted Jun 4, 2013
Cons: The shower head
Location: V. good walking distance from most major tourist traps
Not easy to find by car and parking esp. on Sat night is a nightmare. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the shower does not flow well and the tv is from the 20th century. Breakfast is limited and they charge E2.50 for an extra cup! Most single woman would be intimidated and feel unsafe.

Great Value for the moneyPosted Apr 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
I paid certain price for this hotel so wasn't expecting too much, however we vere nicely suprised. Very friendly staff, rooms cleaned everyday, very acceptable bathroom, air conditioning, small tv. Only two downsides which we could live with was rubbish breakfast and noisy neighbours walking and shouting on the corridor. Fantastic location- in the middle of all Palermo attractions.

Good location, good value, would go back.Posted Nov 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
15 minute walk from the central train station down a wide, safe feeling well populated road. Good location, close to main shopping street, walking distance to cathedral, markets and historic sights. Good signage, easy to find. Our room was more basic, older but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic, no meat/cheese. Staff helpful when needed.
