Location was the only plus!

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Location!! Beautiful beach!
Cons: Needs major updating. 'Free' continental breakfast was not appealing
Location: Great restaurants, shopping, dining and beaches nearby.
The location of this condo complex was fabulous!! Right on the beach!! However, the place itself was VERY dated!! Needs major updating!! Bathroom was nasty! Kitchen very dated. The A/C in the bedroom came on with a thud and sounded like a jet engine taking off making sleep impossible. The pool area is very small and not appealing.

Pros: Location, nice and clean apartments, pleasant staff.
Cons: Sport facilities
Very good location, nice facility and staff. Could be nice to have a work out room and basketball hoop, other sport activities could be helpful.

Hotel in need of major update/renovation.

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Rooms - carpet needs to be ripped out. New air conditioning units. They were so loud in the room. Windows need replaced - look like original.
Although it was in need of major renovation, it was on the beach. I like that it was small, only about 24 rooms, so it was intimate. Very quiet. Nice location - close to downtown Delray.

A few days at the Breakers

Posted Oct 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
We had just a few days and it was warm but rainy, so couldn't enjoy the proximity to the ocean and the outdoor patios and pool chaises. It was old world Florida but so very clean. A comfortable king bed with crisp clean sheets and covered comforter. Friendly staff.

Super 1A-Strandlage

Posted Oct 20, 2014

A Time Machine to Florida's past.

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Cons: Having a coke machine would be nice.
I loved the nostalgic feel of the place. Well-kept. Great rate for a place right on the beach! Have already recommended Delray Breakers to others!

Time Travel at it's BEST

Posted Oct 14, 2014
We wanted beach and quiet. We got it and more at the Breakers. We absolutely loved the retro feel of this resort and especially appreciated the old style architecture. Our room was steps away from the pool, the beach, free coffee and a never-ending supply of ice. We loved having our own furnished patio and enjoyed talking to neighbors as they passed by. The free laundry facilities were a special bonus as was the gas grill and dining patio on the property. The hotel's location was less than a mile from several very nice grocery stores and a nice walk or short drive to a thriving arts district complete with perfect public beaches, unique restaurants and upscale boutique shopping. Morning walks included a paved path lined with multi-million dollar mansions, yachts and condos. If you prefer upscale hotels with fluffy towels, granite counter tops and designer furniture, this is not the place for you. If you want clean, quiet accommodations with the old Florida feel, this is the place.

Our new spot in Del Ray

We loved this hotel. Steps away from the beach and centrally located. Publix and trader joes are walking distance. Great neighborhood. Room is nice. The interior is outdated but its still a great get away for the price.
