Although i was informed after booking my trip, the construction going on and the closed pool and dining facilities, the issues didnt end there.. the tv was a problem, losing sound and signal,the ac wouldn't cool down during the day, the blower was very noisy,the toilet would refill with discolored water, the balcony door was very difficult to slide open,the gym was a joke, the facilities to wash cloths was closed,held private functions including a wedding rite in the path to the beach, room wasn't made up daily and forget speaking english to the maids...

The construction made it impossible to have a good experience. They should close the hotel until they finish. No pool, store, restaurant or coffee shop. I will never stay at another Hilton because of this property. Close it, and re-open when you can offer hotel amenities.

Neither Expedia nor Hilton told us the property was undergoing a total renovation. We only found out when we showed up on Friday night at (;30 PM and had to find alternative accommodations. The restaurant was closed, the poo; was closed, the fitness facility was closed and the air conditioning was being replaced and would not be running until the following Tuesday.

A lot of the features are still under construction and the construction is extremely loud. I wish we had been offered compensation for this. We also had to pay a resort fee and parking fee. There was no water to rinse off with after being on the beach. We werent given hand soap in our bathroom and we werent given enough towels. The mini fridge is more of a micro fridge, you cant fit leftovers or anything longer than your hand. The bed was god awful, hard as a rock. Our beachfrint view was blocked by several large palms. We did enjoy some of the amenities and liked our close access to the beach. The room was clean and the chaise was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and we had no issues with them at all. Construction workers were respectful.

We booked this property on line with Expedia. There was no indication that the property was under renovation. The restaurant as well as the pool was under construction. You can smell sheetrock dust as soon as you walked in. On Sunday they was cutting brick for the patio/pool area.I had an Oceanview with patio on the 3rd floor and they was working right underneath us. Also there was no one working on the beach area Sunday to order food or drinks. Plus they didn't have a blender to make frozen drinks.

So the hotel is under renovations. The sleeping room I had was totally renovated and was very nice and clean along with the bathroom. However the pillows were too thick and not soft to sleep on. Most hotels have to kinds of pillows, the soft ones and the harder ones to watch TV. TV was limited with high prices to rent movies. Closet space was non-existent as they placed a piece of furniture to have the safe deposit on and took all the space. They have another area where this can be moved to and really offer closet space. They had no place for you to shower after you checked out and this could have been solved with a hospitality room or suite especially for a diamond member like me. The front desk staff Rocio and Safir? were excellent very friendly and accommodating that was a plus. After all renovations are done the hotel will be a nice place to stay at if they open the restaurants. Eating in a ballroom is not appealing.

The property was being renovated at the time of my stay so the pool area was closed and so was the bar. This was the only issue that i had with the hotel. The hotel was right on the beach so that was a plus. The renovated room was large and beautiful. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again when the renovations are all done.

We knew that the hotel is going through renovations but didn’t expect to have the workers working by the front door and the only door to exit and enter from. The temporary path to the beach is surrounded of garbages, the only one coffee pot in lobby was “broken” for a day or two, towels for the beach were always out and had to wait for someone to bring them, soap was missing in the room. Felt like the service was down compared to last year. They are taking advantage for being under construction to lack on service. There was still no bar, no pool, only some breakfast served in a side room, but the new rooms are nice and clean.

We arrived early afternoon and were told they would call us when our room was ready. (fair enough) They did not call and we arrived again hours later to find out the room was ready. The front entrance was blocked off and the drop off area, which was not under construction, was occupied by parked construction vehicles that could have been parked elsewhere. Guests were forced to unload luggage in parking lot and drag it through the blocked off area. No staff were available to assist nor direct us We were charged for parking. The pool/gym were closed and food was only available from a trailer despite being charged a resort fee. The beach was only accessible via an active construction zone. This Hotel should not have been opened for occupancy or at the very least, guests shouldnt have been charged for parking/resort fee's for what amounted to a stay at a cheap noisy motel.

I had high hopes for this hotel, but for a Hilton they feel very short. The staff was excellent. The construction is really creating a sketchy environment for solo female travelers. To have to walk through construction debris/workers on the way to the beach was not only unsightly, but had a very unsafe feel. It was isolated and had numerous places that you could not see your surroundings. I’m sure once they construction is done this hotel room be very nice.

The hotel is under renovation which is absolutely not mentioned. There is no pool, hot tub or restaurant. When we checked in, the front desk staff was complaining about being bit by bugs and there was a customer telling the staff that her laptop was stolen. The staff said the cameras on the floor aren’t working. We told the staff there is nothing saying the hotel is under renovation and was told that it should be, it’s not. This is unacceptable for Hilton and Expedia. I feel like I got scammed!

Where do I begin?! I’ve booked this property thinking it was true to Hilton standards.. not once was it mentioned that the hotel was under complete renovation. There was no open pool, no outside area , no dining area except a convention room which the staff was completely rude, the entire place was a complete construction site. For the amount of money that I paid for two rooms, I am beside myself. When A Hotel is under construction, it should say in the listing. I am extremely disappointed, and will never be staying at this particular Hilton again.

It's a joke of a hotel. The only thing it has going for it is that's on the beach. Extra charges for everything, food truck for a restaurant, 3 seat "Bar". The whole place is an over priced waste of money, spend your money at the neighboring hotels

This hotel was under major renovation and was not disclosed prior to booking. No bar, no restaurant, no pool. A total rip off and total disappointed. We will not book with Expedia again when they don’t disclose important facts. And we will make sure to tell everyone and blog about this experience unless we are refunded a significant amount of the $500 cost of the room. The hotel told us these facts WERE disclosed to Expedia so it was total negligence, or maybe unscrupulous, that it was not disclosed to us prior to booking. Very unhappy.

This is a construction site… I’m paying $300 a night for a resort with a restaurant and pool and all of that is a construction site. I have no idea how that’s not listed in the description or why they’re still charging full price. The staff is friendly and the room is clean but there are no amenities. I’m feeling like I’ve been taken advantage of.

The hotel is under renovation with 1 temporary lousy restaurant. Pool is under renovation. Very noisy with workers and equipment. There was no mention of the renovation when we booked!!!!! There are only 3 floors available during the reno. They are still charging regualr prices with tbe ongoing renovation. Beach is great and is the only option. Buyer beware

The hotel is undergo a major constructing phase that no one told us about . The entire lobby , check in area is one great mess. The staff virtual non existent, construction banging at 7 am in the morning on Saturday made sleeping impossible, yellow bath water was disgusting, etc.
