This has the potential to be a very lovely place to stay, HOWEVER, this newly renovated hotel has MANY quirks to fix. There was NO air-conditioning in the room and NO hot water. Also, there were wonky plugs in the room and some safety hazards. My daughter was almost badly injured by a safety lock on the door that stuck out at eye height as you entered the room. When I brought these to the attention to the desk, they continued to put me off. The manager when I finally spoke to him was condescending and not trustworthy with what he promised to do about the situation. There were many many people complaining about similar issues at the hotel. One family booked a room with 2 queens and were given a king with a cot. The staff was pleasant, but most likely being paid to put people off. They said someone would get back to see soon when I spoke to them, but no one did. I had to stand at the desk and insist to speak to a manager who took along time coming. By the end of the visit, he became rather threatening. I am a flexible person and am not one to usually complain, and I certainly wasn't the only one there with these issues, but I was treated as if I was being ridiculous. As we waited in the lobby, a maintenance man was sent to fix the AC in someone's room. The couple were told a few minutes later and sent to the room and we heard the maintenance man say, "Yeah, that did nothing," when he came back to the desk.
