Poorly renovated but utilitarian

Nice lobby and courtyand. This place has promise, but the workmanship was shoddy in the rooms. The decoration was inconsistent and less than tasteful. The lid to the controls on the AC was held on with scotch tape!

Great price, comfy beds, sweet staff

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: I liked that the room was very comfortable, and the linens were awesome. I liked that the room was very well air conditioned.
Cons: i wish the address was easier to read
Location: The location is minutes away from downtown and shops etc.
This is a great little hotel for the price! I came in late at night, and found the front desk person named "Aldo" to be super attentive, and eager to make my stay easy and stress free. The hotel seems like it has recently undergone a face lift. The room was a little small, but the bed was super cozy pillow top style with great linens and such. It has a very large flat screen and the room was nice and cool when I arrived. I found the room to be very clean, and really very comfortable and totally worth the price. It's not really within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs, but it is just minutes away by car and parking is also very easy here. I would totally stay here again, and I liked that there were no extra charges for internet, parking etc. Bravo!

Nice amenities, great location!

Enjoyed our stay...with two exceptions: The bathroom wall by the sink was splattered with residue from an over-enthusiastic tooth brush--gross. And they need to train their desk clerks better--I wanted information on how to extend our stay and it took him 20 minutes to get me an answer. However-the room was very nice, the landscaping beautiful and it was quiet. Will stay there again.

Not what I remember

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: The rooms are nice & the front desk personnel are very friendly & courteous
Cons: Trim the trees around the pool so more sun is available
Location: It's just one street over from the main strip so there are plenty of restaurants nearby w/in walking distance
Well, the rooms here are always nice, but the pool was murky the 1st day I stayed there. Clearer the next though. Disappointing that they've let the trees around the pool grow too large so it's hard to find a nice place to get some sun. Don't think I'll be coming back.

Repairs/Noise/NO WATER

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: This is one of the few hotels that have two bedroom suites complete with kitchens. Small but usable pool & spa in main pool area.
Cons: I understand the need for repairs and renovation, but most hotels close down that section and don't inconvenience guests in the process.
Location: West end of Downtown about a mile or so from casino. We went to living desert zoo one day.
New owner renovating without closing down sections. Large spa was just empty hole in ground. (I specifically called before and asked about this spa,as it was under repair 2-1/2 yrs ago as well. Front desk lied and said there was a possibility it would be operational. NO WAY-- NOT FOR AT LEAST A MONTH!) ) Had a 3 night stay in a 2 bd townhouse suite. Neighbors warned us about jackhammering all day when we checked in. 1st night ok, but next day told water would be off from 3-5.(So we went to the pool and ignored the jackhammering.) Water didn't come on til 9:30pm. We had to go to dinner and bed w/o benefit of showering off pool chlorine. Next day 6am able to take a low pressure dripping shower, but no shower water again by 8am for my grown daughter. At same time tub constantly dripped stream of wasted water in this desert community! Tried to check out a day early by 10am and front desk wanted to give us a credit for future use instead of a refund for the last night. Had to get Expedia involved to get satisfaction. In the end I paid for 1/2 of my stay and they gave us a free night in the future. If you go--- call and ask about renovation schedule, room location, and noise first.
