Delivered as promised!Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Cool aesthetic, very inclusive vibe (kids, dogs, seniors, couples, singles, lgbt, whatever... all seemed welcome), awesome service, and a1 facilities
Cons: Afternoon pool music ranged from cool/casual to eerie and spooky. Spooky is not good. Room showed a bit of wear and tear.
Location: Borrow bikes from the front desk and cruise the neighbourhoods. Head to Joshua Tree Park. Restaurants. Pool scene. Head up the tram.
We booked the Ace for a quick getaway because we were looking for an interesting, eclectic, but comfortable experience. The Ace is all of those things. Expedient check-in, great facilities, comfortable room, and great clientele made it an awesome stay.

Wonderful stayingPosted Apr 23, 2015
It's a very well designed boutique hotel that has a very unique desert vibe. They have vintage furnitures inside every room which makes u take photos nonstop. The pool is nice and the jacuzzi is perfect for nights. I would definitely stay there again.

Great funky and hipster resort in Palm SpringsPosted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: Very well put together and well decorated rooms.
Cons: When I checked into my room, there was a strong smell of some sort of cleaner in the room. Some people might like it but I found it overpowering.
Location: It's about a 5 minute drive from downtown and not really close to any other facilities.
I stayed at the Ace in Palm Springs for two nights from Monday to Wednesday following the Cochilla festival. The Ace resort is in a beautiful setting and is excellently decorated. The room is very very comfortable and the pool-side areas are lovely too. I was able to enjoy the pool and gym and restaurant.

'Fun' place good food- good for a girls weekend.Posted Apr 9, 2015
It's true I don't love the vibe at this hotel- I have a good time when I am here but I don't rush to return. The rooms are comfy- it's well set up for a girly getaway (but I don't find it a romantic getaway spot). I had a nice stay- the pool is crazy and quite crowded. Generally the staff was pleasant, cheerful and efficient. We had a poolside waitress who was not. She brought us food when we asked for ice water she told us we could buy a bottle of water. Ok- she wanted to sell refillable water bottles- we had those. We asked for ice water with our meal she said no. She made it clear that we did not rate her time or attention. (As a note we had ordered and been served the same meal and ice water the day before - no fuss no muss.)

Bad servicePosted Apr 2, 2015
Overcrowded pool area, nowhere to sit, ordered food and a drink and waited 45 minutes and it came out wrong. Still no drink or water for another 30 minutes. No napkins, no utensils. Gave the server cash and she never came back with my change. Next day had dinner in the cafe. Food came out wrong again. Big surprise.

Totally unexpectedPosted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: It didn't feel like a hotel at all, loved the piped music (not too loud, not too quiet, just right), relaxed atmosphere and great rooms.
Cons: If you are an early riser and like your coffee then be aware it doesn't get served before 7am.
Location: On the fringes of Palm Springs, but close enough to experience it all.
If you are not fussed on high-tech holiday accommodation, but more interested in a total relaxing enviroment and some superb styling touches on what was once a 60' motel then this is the place for you. Totally enjoyed this place and felt like i could have stayed a lot longer than the couple of nights i had booked. Food great, room amazing, feel-good factor high. I've stayed in Palm Spring a few times and there are definitely more luxurious hotels, but none of them come close to the Ace in terms of making you feel like you belong there. It won't be everyone's cup of tea but it floated my boat.

Groovy, vintage, hipster hotelPosted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, great service, ample amenities.
Cons: Would like resort fee to be included in initial price since it isn't optional. Would have liked to have had an empty fridge instead of mini bar.
Location: Near downtown Palm Springs (by car). Other restaurants, coffee shops within walking distance. Strip center shopping not far down the road by car.
Nice, relaxed stay with low-key attitude. Enjoyed the art major dorm feel of the room. Worried a bit about noise given the party reputation of the hotel, but didn't really have much late night noise issues. We were in building five away from the pools. Doors seem to stick on many of the rooms, because we had to pull ours hard to latch and heard doors slamming from neighboring rooms. Staff was very efficient and accommodating. They helped us with directions to nearby attractions, called rental car agency and taxis for us. Enjoyed our breakfast in the Kings Road restaurant and had a nice massage in the Feel Good Spa.
