the check-in process (with, i think rolando) was smooth and he even said he'll address my complaint against a rude staff i talked to that morning over the phone and who made a mess of my reservation. my reservation also got fixed as per my expedia purchase. the location is close to alot of stores/restaurants in downtown, and we only walked less than 10mins to see marilyn monroe's statue which was also close to the palm springs art museum. just across the st was also a charming seafood resto where we had dinner and the prices was super affordable. the area is well lighted, and though there were a few homeless individuals on their street, we felt safe walking around at night. parking and brkfast was free and there's a small courtyard that gave off european -village feels. the room was clean- with iron, hair dryer and instant coffee and the hotel has a cute pool. the only negative comment (from my 65yrs old mother anyway) is that their hallway carpeting is looking a little dingy and needs a little update/cleaning.
