Nice Hotel near to Downtown shops and restaurants.

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Clean, and nice atmosphere.
Cons: I love plants, I will add some hanging basket or flower's trees in big planters around the swimming pool. and some pictures or mirror in hallways.
Location: Many great restaurants, and shops.
The personnel were very helpful. It was my friend's birthday and we got complimentary breakfast. Nice large swimming pool.

We stay for a week every year, at the Courtyard Mariott Palm Springs, for the past 20 years, and always love it. We always wait till after Memorial day when the prices drop to unbelievably low rates. Have never had a bad experience.

A-typical Family Hotel

Posted May 29, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, proximity to attractions, staff friendliness
Cons: Free internet was sketchy at best. The hotel did offer higher speed at a daily cost.
Location: Super close to downtown Palm Springs, shops and restaurants. Walking distance to the Regal movie theater.
The hotel was very clean and close to everything. However if you're looking for peace and quiet pool-side this is not the place to be. Frolicking, boisterous children from sun up to sun down. The bistro and "mini mart" were an added perk.

Not quite walkable

The hotel was a bit too far to walk to the downtown area, but was a short Uber ride. Smaller pool and hot tub area, but clean. Overall good experience.

Quick weekend trip

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: Layout of room, spacious had the feel of comfort and relaxing
Cons: Bigger towels at pool, and keep children out of spa :( At one point there were 10 kids raging in age from about 2 to 10.
Location: A couple of state parks
From the time we checked in until we left the front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. After checking in we had a minor issue come up in the room I called front desk and within 10 minutes the issue was taken care of! The staff at Bistro were busy but always made you feel that you were the only customers there.

Nice weekend in Palm Springs

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, comfortable beds.
Location: Location is fairly convenient. Kind of a hike to downtown Palm Springs
This property is everything you would expect from a Marriott property. We did have a bit of an issue with information passed along at check in. We were told that the shuttle bus was available every hour on the hour for a ride to downtown Palm Springs. The next day when we needed the service, we were told it did not start until 6PM.

Pros: Good size room, VERY comfortable bed, big screen TV. Nice size desk. Convenient plug ins at bedside lamps for cell phones, etc.
Cons: Better creamer for your coffee. Couldn't find literature on local maps of shopping, restaurants, etc.
Location: Plenty of shopping, restaurants, etc. but took us awhile to find it.
Nice hotel to stay at. It was clean, high end linens, comfortable bed, mini fridge, big screen tv, etc. We only stayed one night and wished I was there longer to enjoy all the facilities. My only comment was that the front desk/mini cafe area seemed a bit short staffed. I didn't need to call for any assistance, so can't comment on that. If your room is facing the pool area, just know that it can be noisy. I would definitely stay there again.

Bland. Soulless.

Pros: Its location. On Tahquitz Canyon, it's just a few blocks from downtown Palm Springs' nightlife.
Just nothing interesting or remarkable about this hotel. It's a Marriott Courtyard that could be anywhere. The room was clean, but forgettable. Pool area isn't particularly inviting because it's in a courtyard between wings of the 3-story building so there are shadows over it except at midday. There are far more interesting places to stay in Palm Springs. I did so this time because it was the cheapest thing I could find that wasn't a Motel 6. For half the price, I'd pick the Motel 6 over this because at least I know how basic their accomodations are. Fortunately, I spent very little time at the hotel while in town.
