Neds to be refurbished

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: The bed was comfortable, the golf looked clean, the lake was clean and love the birds, ducks.
Cons: bathrooms to be refurbished, vine glass & opener in each room. Newer tv, security on each floor, stuff to pick up empty cups, napkin on the property
Location: 10 min ride from the big scene street where all the shops restaurants are located, across the street from a pharmacy.
My family and I would not return even if We were offered a free stay. Lack of comfort in the room and bathroom. Rooms need to be remodeled and need life, TV is very old, no vine glass in the room only 2 plastic cups, no vine opener, neighbors were slapping room doors the entire night, we could hear all the noises, people were talking in the connecting room we heard everything, we haven't slept nor rested at all. The breakfast is located in a very depressing room, need some peaceful music in their and some life again. Lobby stuff were not very knowledgeable about their computer when it came to check out and made us wait to long to figure out their system. The hotel area need to be better maintained papers and empty cups were threw on the grass near the rooms.

Staycation

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Quiet and clean
Cons: Rooms need to be upgraded. TV's, switches, dacor etc. are outdated. Pool towels need to be completely replaced (dim gray vs. white).
Location: We had dinner in PD.
Very clean and quiet. Overall it is fine, just think it could be better. I would come back for the price.

We have stayed at a nearby Marriott property, Desert Springs, many times but this is our first at Desert Princess. We'll return to that property as we enjoyed everything about it.

dirty 70's room

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: exterior grounds were beautiful
Cons: they need to update the rooms gut them start over, it looks like it never was changed since they opened.
Location: can't left to another hotel
check in was great, once in the room the rug was worn down badly, and stains on the carpet. the bed, pillows and the chairs in the room were worn out. I call the front desk to change rooms, ok they sent someone up and we walk to the other side of the hotel, only to find this room to be the same. I could not stay at this hotel I check out at the front desk within 20 minutes and book another hotel. This was a really bad experience, and almost ruin my day.

B level resort, depends on what you want

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Location: Desert Princess Gold course, lots of muni courses nearby. Palm Springs airpor short drive, and not that far from downtown Palm Springs.
We stay here every year or two to visit family nearby. this time they were booked pretty solid for Easter weekend, so rooms were limited. Staff made a fair effort to warn us we'd be overlooking a flat roof, which was OK. This is no longer a shiny resort, not the quality of the marques hotels, but value is probably OK for the money if you're staying at peak season Feb-Easter. Rooms are clean, carpets OK. Always feels a little deserted, oddly. Never know where all the occupants are because nobody is ever in the common areas.

Place was nice. I was only there for a Saturday night. The pool area was fun for the short visit.
