Reservation moved without notice

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Turned up to be told our entire reservation has been shifted to another hotel 10 miles away. No prior notice or contact.

Pros: The price was reasonable considering you also received a breakfast.
Cons: Staff needs some help about how to be helpful with questions. A curt answer of "no" is not helpful.
Location: Location is not as close to I-10 as depicted. It is close to many restaurants.
The hotel was undergoing renovation and half the building was closed off with plastic sheeting. During the afternoon there was constant noise of compressors for painting equipment. The room was clean but had a very strong odor of cleaning disinfectant. A closed up room with temps in the low 100's outside and impossible to open windows did not make for a pleasant room. The room had a microwave and sink but the room was not supplied with plastic utensils.

Nice area, not nice hotel

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The room size
Cons: Please limit the amount of people per room. The grounds need a gardener and flowers. A newer fresher look. The atrium was not welcoming.
Location: Palm Springs area, many restaurants were closed for the summer.
Embassy Suites never disappoints. With their cook to order breakfast and complimentary cocktail hour. We were looking forward to our one night stay in Palm Desert. As we walked in, the atrium area smelled musty and seemed dated and enclosed. Not the fresh open feeling you usually get from an Embassy Suites. The balconies overlooked the pool area. The grounds had dirt patches everywhere, no flowers or color. The room was OK to say anything positive. When we went to the pool they were beyond capacity of people allowed in the pool. The pool was also a bit dirty. There were no towels, and the chairs were all full with dirty towels everywhere and no people sitting in them since everyone was in the pool! The next morning for breakfast was a mad house. The line for cooked to order breakfast was 20 minutes long. There were plates and cups everywhere. We had to clean our own table to sit at. I must say there was staff cleaning up, but there was just too many people for the amount of staff. I would not stay here again. Too many options in Palm Springs, and this would not be one of them.

weekend with family

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: the seperate room and the breakfast. The lady who was cooking those omelets was awesome never got flustered even when the line was out the door.
Cons: the pull out bed, the sheet was too small so that the ends curled up, it was not at all comfortable.
Location: Palm Desert
It has been many years since I stayed at your hotel, so I guess I remembered it different. The pool seemed smaller, maybe that was because there was blowup rafts and very large blowup sharks in it. I was surprized that no one from the staff was ever at the pool to ask the guests to remove them so the rest of us could swim about. also, missing tiles around the pool.

Spacious well kept quality hotel.

Very nice hotel with good pool area. My hotel room was very spacious with two rooms and sofa and table so comfortable. Unfortunately the ceilings were thin so foot steps and banging about woke me up but other than that a pleasant experience.
