First trip to Palm Springs and w kidsPosted Apr 17, 2014
It was our first trip to the area but not to an embassy. The lobby staff were very cordial and gave us a list of fun things to do with our children (ages 7&12), of which we did many. We took in the Living Desert, shopping, Boomers and Joshua Tree Nat park (a must!). Our room was clean, breakfast was as we expected and always great. The pool served its purpose and the gentleman serving us food and beverages poolside was great. Our room was clean. Overall a great experience. Two items of note. I felt the snacks served at the managers social were blah at best. Secondly we left on a friday right before a Cochella festival. The place gets overrun w the college crowd so it would have been tough w kids poolside. We had a most excellent visit and would highly reccommend staying here.

Complimentary happy hour and breakfast provided...Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Breakfast service Happy 2 hours
Cons: Service was inconstant. Some employees could have been a little more hospitable.
Location: Farther than most other Spa Hotels but next to Old Town La Quinta.
The location was towards the end of La Quinta but what you lose in distance you get in amenities. They have a complimentary happy hour (Actually 2 hours) with a more than adequate selection of cocktails, wine and beer. What will have us coming back is that they offer complimentary breakfast, and not just cereal and danishes but a full on spread of eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and a omelette station. When I arrived at my hotel, earlier than the the check in time, the hotel manager upgraded our room at no charge so we could go in a little earlier. Rooms were VERY roomy and comfortable. Spa service was great and they had a special the day I was there which added to my satisfaction of this hotel. All in all I will recommend this place again but more importantly I will be back with my family soon. The Hotel also was right across the street from additional dining and shopping.

Good location for Humana ChallengePosted Jan 21, 2014
Good overall, however, was unable to dial our airline from room or any number. Unable to check in at home and arrange for our ride from the airport. Unable to log on directly to airline due to computer problems. We had to travel to another Embassy Suites in order to check in with airline & home. Extremely frustrating as no lobby phones in La Quinta location - had to borrow cellphone from hotel engineer.

My stay was nice and comfortable. The hotel was nice and I even liked the happy hour from 5-7. The only thing is you still have to pay for wifi and with the price of the hotel I would think that is something that should be included.
