This is an "OK" hotel, but far from "wonderful:"

Posted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: Complimentary decent breakfast included.
Cons: Hotel's overall maintenance
Went for a weekend with my family to the Palm Springs area. I chose this hotel because Expedia reviewers rated it overall as "98% Wonderful", and with a relatively fair pricing I booked it. i even went above the standard room and booked 2 "boardroom suites" Well, while I can give the staff good rating for their good service, the hotel itself is far from being "wonderful" - the real score it deserves is just an "okay". Here's why: The overall cleanliness and shape of this hotel is an issue. When we arrived Friday afternoon to the pool area, the floor was so dirty as if it hasn't been washed for a month! Dittos the tables and chairs. The room's floor-plan (remember this is one of their best suites) was ok, It had a nice kitchenette BUT the bath floor mat (towel) was literally all torn, the chairs at the balcony had a dust buildup of at least a month so we had to call housekeeping to clean them because you can't sit there (and believe me I am not spoiled). The windows and screen doors are in a catastrophic shape.Overall room maintenance gets a 6/10 from me. Amenities like the fitness room - again - wanted to open the window to let fresh air in - couldn't do it - not even by excessive force. Hotel offers free wifi to its guest - alas, the connection and speed are worthless. I think you get the picture by now. Yes I know it's a 3 star hotel, but for me it was a disappointment. I have been to motels that were in much better shape than this one. So to rate it as wonderful?? NAAA

Very nice hotel at a great price.

Pros: Well kept with very friendly, helpful staff
Cons: Rooms could be updated but we were advised they were already in the process of doing this.
Location: In La Quinta close to shopping, many fine restaurants.
My wife and I recently spent a week at the Homewood Suites La Quinta to rest and relax after a hectic fall schedule. We were impressed with the room and especially the staff. My wife has Celiac disease (gluten-free) and the staff in the kitchen were very accommodating - they even provided gluten-free bread for her each morning and showed us the ingredient labels from their various products so we could determine if they were OK for my wife to eat. Will definitely stay there again next year when we return to Palm Springs and would recommend it to anyone.

Location: Location was good lots of places to walk and many restaurants near by.
Our stay at Homewood suites LaQuinta was very relaxing.

Not bad, Not great

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Parking was close to rooms
Cons: The movies were way too expensive for what was offered
Location: This is close to other hotels with good spas
I stayed here for a couple nights in September. The hotel was comfortable and clean, but that's it. Breakfast was ok, and the rooms were fine. Nothing to write home about.

Spacious rooms, great service and nice pool. Loved the Applebee's in the same parking lot, makes for an easy dinner location instead of cooking

Nice place for families

Pros: I liked that this hotel was so family friendly.
Cons: A moldy smell to the shower curtain. Pool deck needs to be resurfaced. It was so slick and slippery when wet. My toddler slipped!
Location: Try Cafe Italiano. The wait staff sings to you and it's pretty upscale Italian food.
Great hotel, easy to get to, easy parking, free wifi, convenient breakfast included, good rates, nice pool. We had a great weekend there with small children.
