A bit old and outdated, but clean and comfortable.

JW's always have comfortable beds. This JW is a bit old and outdated but still its a nice hotel. Its not the nicest JW by a long shot, i would stay again though.

Overpriced and outdated

Posted Aug 18, 2014
You're better off staying the the villas and coming over to use the pool or spa. Rooms are outdated and blah. In room dining took over an hour when quoted 40-45 minutes. Room details said I would have a balcony but did not. Hair and panty liner trash stuck to the floor in my bathroom.

Fantastic staff, top notch service

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Rooms where nice, great view of pools, golf, lake, desert mountains
Cons: parrots in lobby are loud.
Location: Golf, golf, and golf. Hiking, casinos, shopping, spa, and pools.
Best weekend ever! Everything you need is here. Pools and lounges are plentiful. Grounds are well kept. Well worth the extra $. Hotel restaurants are better than expected. Can't wait to come back!!!

Pleasant Stay

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: The grounds, pools, gondolas, flamingos and geese
Cons: Bed comfort and dated furniture; musty smell
Our son loves staying here and therefore we stay regularly. The staff are always friendly and helpful but on this trip, we stayed in a room that was musty and dated. We bought incense the first day, but the smell persisted into the next morning so I called the front desk to inquire about moving to another room. I was quickly informed the room would be deodorized and my request was completely ignored. I expected a better response as we stay here several times a year for the last three years. But the grounds are lovely and a great environment for both children and adults.

Party Hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2014
JW spent a lot of money on upgrading this old property. It's cosmetic changes are nicely done, but the property layout is old-style and still shows its age. I didn't know at the time of booking, but this is known as a "party" hotel- even in a downpour the pool was wall to wall occupied and loud. Expect to see lots of coolers being wheeled in and drunkenness by the pool. It was not the upscale and classy JW property we anticipated.

Hot sun, cool views

Posted Aug 2, 2014
If you're a pool lover and enjoy bath taking views, this is your place. hotel staff make it their priority to see you enjoy your stay. Better bring a sound machine if you want to enjoy that king size bed because you can hear any conversation throughout your floor. Pros: Wonderful views, many activities to do, family friendly Cons: Too expensive for lunch options, drinks are over priced for the quantity, walls for rooms are paper-thin and rooms are noisy

Beautiful resort in the middle of the dessert!

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Beautiful location, excellent, helpful staff, lots of restaurants to choose a meal from. Pools were large and plenty of chairs, umbrellas and towels.
Cons: Restaurant prices are very high, breakfast cost $75 for standard breakfast
Only stayed for 2 nights but was so impressed with everything about this hotel!
