Desert oasis?

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: The grounds, the location.
Cons: Better furnished room, a mini-bar or faster room service. More signs to help with navigation.
A beautiful location with some lovely buildings and grounds. Sadly, our room (one of the spa casitas) didn't live up to our expectations. My guess is it's a privately-owned timeshare and it felt cheaply finished and furnished, and had not been throughly cleaned. It had its own small (shared) pool, but no amenities. And it was so far from the main buildings that it took 30 minutes for our drinks order to arrive (no in-room mini-bar), and both times we left the room we got lost...

They forgot one little thing....

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Overall we enjoyed our stay at La Quinta Resort. I booked two rooms for our family for the Stagecoach festival. The resort grounds are gorgeous and inviting. We enjoyed sitting in the plaza in the mornings with coffee and breakfast. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. The shuttle buses to and from the festival were very convenient and a must for me. Unfortunately they neglected to clean our room on Sunday 4/26. We were gone from 9 am until 11 pm, so they had plenty of time to do so. Our other room across the courtyard was cleaned in the morning so it became obvious they made an oversight. We requested a manager call us but so far have heard nothing. Coming back to our room at 11 and night only to find we had no clean towels to shower with, full trash cans and no bottled water put a damper on an otherwise fantastic weekend.

Very attractive grounds and landscaping.

Pros: Exterior grounds. Food at the restaurant that serves breakfast is quite good and reasonably priced.
Location: La Brasserie, at the intersection of Highway 111 and Washington Street is an excellent choice for dinner. La Quinta Bakery, mediocre & overpriced.
We do not play golf. We stay at this hotel primarily to enjoy the beautiful landscaping and fountains in the plaza.

Awesome service

Posted Apr 6, 2015
We went the last week in March and were so taken a back by the beauty of hotel and its grounds. And we're even more surprised by the service. The hotel restaurant Morgan's was so wonderful both staff and food we ate there two nights in a row with our three children. it was awesome! Only negative was the walk in the morning a waste of time. Better off wondering on your own.

The hotel is beautiful but our A/C was not working in the room. But, this won't detour me from coming back. I love this hotel.

Great for the tennis

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Grounds, pools, spacious rooms. Free shuttle to Indian wells tennis.
Cons: The human touch. Check in was verging on rude - our room not ready at 4pm check in time. No gesture whatsoever to compensate, such as a cold drink.
Location: Close to Indian wells for tennis. LA Quinta village is sweet. Great coffee shop. Restaurants so so. Nice walks. About an hours drive to Joshua tree pk
If you are a tennis fan and attending Indian wells, this is the place to stay. Fantastic facilities, beautiful landscape and gardens and good rooms. Free shuttle to tennis is a big plus.

Pros: Location, general beauty
Cons: Parking for casitas by tennis courts and spa is a little tight. Spaces in garages are really small.
Location: Near everything. Lovely location
Had to switch rooms after first night. Guests in next room (a casita) had TV on all night. Hotel very accomodating with move.

Beautiful landscaping, relaxing escape

Posted Feb 22, 2015
The property is beautifully maintained with colorful flowers everywhere, fruit trees and lush green grass. Pools and hot tubs are plentiful. You could enjoy quiet time reading poolside or stay as active as you like playing tennis, golf or strolling around the property. Our boys enjoyed scootering and skateboarding on the many scenic paths. The only thing that wasn't 5-star are the restaurants. Poolside dining was disappointing. The fish tacos and hummus were substandard. Notwithstanding, we will definitely be back.
