Not really a Marriott Hotel stay.

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Comfortable beds and pillows - staff were for the most part very friendly and efficient - esp the maintenance people , maids and gate keepers.
Cons: Toiletries could be upgraded - could of had a kettle also - I do not drink coffee and do not like making my tea water with the coffee maker.
Location: Situated on a golf course, nearby shopping areas. Living Desert, Indian Canyons. Not far from many other areas to visit in this amazing valley.
This is more of a golf resort. It is a beautiful well kept facility and is mainly owners who come and golf. Staff are very good and kind - esp the cleaning ladies. The room we got had a small bar fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker - no kettle for hot water/tea. Because of the heat we used the fridge every day with water etc and to keep breakfast items. There was also 2 of everything needed to eat. ( plates, bowls, cutlery ) The bed/pillows were very comfortable, clean and up to date duvet. The free wifi was very good/fast - did not have any problems. Bathroom toiletries were not Marriott standard either - I would suggest to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Towels were very good. We did not use any of the pools, so can not comment on them. The unit we were in was two floors, did not have an elevator - was ok for us, but not for anyone who can not do stairs or carry their luggage upstairs as there is no help in that way. You can not stay here without a car/rental car unless you wanted to use cabs. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and as an adjoining room, when a large younger group moved in next door, they are very loud and we could hear all conversations. Previous tenants were heard, but not an annoyance. We used this as a base for exploring the local area and for that it was good. Would we stay here again? - no, it is not our style of place - it really is set up for those who are owners and part of the condo group or for long term guests who golf

Fabulous

This was beautiful, it was wonderful that this place was so reasonably priced and to accommodate my family of 8 under one roof than to spout us up into 2 separate rooms.

Not for the business traveler... ??

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Offering of different pillows. Fix the patio screen. provide a desk?
Location: eat, drink, and be merry.
So I booked this "hotel" based on location and price. Do not be confused - the "Villas" are not connected with the Marriott Hotel! This is a timeshare condo resort. The "Villas 1" do get access to some of the amenities at the Marriott, but "Villas 2" has access only tennis. From the "poackage" I received, there are some activities on the property, mainly poolside, but being a business traveler, I felt isolated and the only activities I would have had time for would be more standard hotel fare. As for as the lodging itself, it was reasonable. Firm bed (a plus) but the pillow were huge and caused me neck strain. There are plates and glasses, but the "table" was tiny, and I saw no reason to anticipate a need for plates (like room service.) Bathroom was fine, with marble, sufficient vanity, but odd sink (faucet at strange angle). For Families looking for a reasonable place with a few extras, I think this might be a good place. But for the business traveler, I would think there are other more "accessible" options in the vicinity.

Beautiful setting, lots to do

Pros: The entire property was well maintained and clean. Great and friendly staff. The housekeeping staff were thorough and very pleasant.
Location: Palm Springs is close with restaurants and shopping, Street Festival every Thur. night. The Living Desert, the Tram and the Aqua Caliente Casino.
Good from the very start when Navia checked us in and took the time to find us the best unit to meet our needs. We had a great view and good proximity to pools, restaurant's and activities.

Our check-in was flawless as was the suite.

Cons: not much
Location: The Nest was a great place for dinner!
The suite was beautiful and very clean, loved the free parking. We got an early check in which was much appreciated. Everything in the suite was state of the art. Thanks for an awesome family stay!

Great front desk costumer service!

Pros: The beds, pillows, the smaller pools, and the bbq pits.
Cons: Have an adult pool where there is no children yelling or crying. At least one pool.
Location: We actually went to the lounge at the W and it was actually pretty fun.
We've been to this resort a few times now and we are never disappointed! Our stay is always very pleasant, we love the 2 room villas, we love the pools, the bbq pits, and we love the amenities! Unfortunately i don’t remember the name of the gentleman that first checked us in, honestly the first impression always determines how your stay is going to be and let me just say that he was so polite, friendly, and just awesome! We will continue coming to this resort as we fell in love with it since the first time we went a few years back! One thing I do have the say that the water in the main pool was a bit dirty and we just decided to stay in the smaller pools.

Was pleased with our stay except the bright lights on the front porch all night long. I can always count on a good hotel for a good nights sleep. Comfortable beds, dark thick, curtains blankets etc. Unfortunately I couldn't sleep great because of the porch lights shining into our room all night long.
