Beautiful!

My family and I had a great time at this resort! We loved it! The Grill had delicious food and the service was excellent! Our room was beautiful except for a couch that was peeling. It just ruined the look of the whole suite, but other than that it was perfect! Great Experience!

Nice family hotel, lot's of pools my dauthers love the water slide! The room was nice, it was kind of small, it was a studio. It had a small kitchen, the beds were very comfortable. Nice view to the mountains. Friendly staff, we arrived early and they allowed us to use the resort while our room was ready.

Accommodations are comfortable. Activities for the whole family to enjoy. With full kitchens and BBQ pits onsite, there's no need to leave the premises. We'll definitely be back next year!

Great, GREAT, hotel for families.

This is a truly fantastick place to stay with your family. We are from the Los Angeles area and it was a perfect mini vacation getaway. There is a nice restaurant/grill near the check in area with great food. A really nice little market with lots of selections, not your average tiny hotel snack shop. Our room although just a regular room was very spacious and had stocked mini kitchen! Toaster, coffee machine, microwave, mini fridge, utencils, cups and so on. Our friends stayed in a 1 bedroom and it was HUGE! We'll definitely stay in a 1 bedroom when we go back. The pools are awsome! There is a kiddie pool that my 3 year old loved because it was only 1 1/2 deep so she was able to walk across it on her own. There was another pool with a slide and another with a beach walk in. There is plenty of activites for everyone. I absolutely loved this place and all the staff we came across were so friendly. Not one person was ever rude or didnt smile. I cant wait to go back with more of my family.

Spoiled vacation.

We have been going to this resort for 10 years. After our last stay at the end of July 2014 we are probably not going back. I called the resort in advance to let them know about my preferences as I always do. I asked for the ground floor, closer to the main pool and early check in. Non of my requests were granted. We've arrived around noon with foods that needed to be refrigerated. Because they didn't have a room ready for us, I asked the front desk if I could use their refrigerator. Their fridge was extremely dirty. I was disgusted to leave my food in there. When we finally got to our villa it was almost 4 PM, a lot of thing were missing. We had a coffee maker, but not a coffee pot. We had to wait for them to bring the coffee pot for 2 days (called them at least twice a day to remind about coffee pot). Some of other kitchenettes were also missing. The resort was extremely crowded and not enough staff members to provide an excellent service. We also noticed that a lot of new villas were build lately. Four swimming pools are not enough for so many guests that are staying at the resort. Empty plastic cups and bottles were around the pool area, as soon as the wind blew all those cups and bottles were in the pool. Water in the pools was very dirty and cloudy. While swimming you can catch someones' hair between your fingers and toes (very gross). We didn't see anyone cleaning the pool in the morning (at 7 AM) as we used to see during our previous stays.

SUMMER VACATION

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Quick check in. Our hotel room was quiet. Nice balcony view. Convenient shops restaurants/stores Available pool towels
Cons: Security during the night near the pools, "closed" water slide was ignored by older kids.
Location: Excellent! Convenient! Wish we had more time to explore all what Marriott Shadow Springs had to offer.
Check in was quick. $50 per day charge at time of check in, refunded after check out assuming no damages were done. The hotel staff is nice, however they will offer you to a time share meeting & offer $100 Marriott gift card for attending. So we attended, your not pressured to buy anything but learned a lot about how their timeshare works. We ended up using the gift card at the grill restaurant & the card didn't work, the waitress said they could bill it to our room, but we decided to go to see the receptionist at the check in area to make sure the gift card was good & it was. Before you use the Marriott gift card make sure the gift card is accepted at whatever restaurant, store etc you want to use it towards, because we weren't able to use it @ Dylands Candy store :( at the marketplace. Our room was great, bed was very comfortable. TV didn't work right away, we had to call maintenance. It was just a quick wiggle of the cable line to get it going. The waterside was great, kids loved it, ALOT OF KIDS!!! Pool was crowded!! They close the pool by 11pm, waterside had a big sign that says it was closed at night- NO security- older kids ignored the sign & got on the water slide anyways. I know that they're building more rooms & pools so this should help w/ the excessive crowds. I would definently return because my kids loved it & just be more prepared next time.
