Secret Oasis in Rancho Mirage
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: The grounds and the great care taken in the rooms. Very clean, up to date and the staff were nothing short of helpful and professional. Great.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
This is the second time I've stayed at this resort. It continues to be a favorite spot for our family. Very comfortable with very nice grounds. The pool area is comfortable and the restaurant bar and restaurant are very much worth visiting. The margarita's made from scratch are worth another and another. We certainly hope to stay there again.

Relax in Luxury!

Pros: Amazing staff! When I asked if I could order breakfast at the pool the response was :You can get anything you want here!"
Cons: Pool was a litle crowded
Location: Easy to find on Hwy 111, but it felt very seculded from the real world!
We LOVE this resort and now that we have discovered it we will make certain to return! This hotel is gorgeous and very well maintained. The staff is "over-the-top" friendly and helpful. The atmosphere here is relaxed, yet pretty darn luxurious. We LOVED ordering breakfast at the pool. This is a great place to get away for a weekend to relax-next time we will stay longer and explore the spa.

hot destination

Pros: View of the desert mountains, the landscaping, and the hotel architectural style.
Cons: $25 resort fee.
Location: Bring shorts and a swim suit, but leave your jacket at home. It is very warm in May: 90-100F day, a little cooler (70-80F) at night/morning.
I visited Indian Wells in May for business. The $25 per day resort fee was more than I've paid at other hotels, and I didn't feel like there was anything extra that I received for that fee. The family pool is very large, which is good for lap swimming. There was also a smaller adult pool, as well as jaccuzzi's and saunas, but when it is 100F I don't feel tempted to try warmer air or water. From the Palm Springs airport the taxi costs about $60 one way, and the rental cars were about $80/day. The food was mostly very nice, but more expensive ($15-25 for breakfast, $50-75 for dinner) than at most places that I stay. I didn't find any vending machines, so I cut down on my Diet Pepsi habit during this trip.

Nice small hotel
Posted Jan 19, 2013
Pros: Big rooms. Fun pool side.
Cons: Cleaning up the empty cups from the pool side.
Location: +/- 5 min drive from Indian Wells village and La Quinta. Lavender Restaurant nearby was very good.
First hotel experience in the Greater Palm Springs area. The hotel lobby, restaurant & spa area is small but in a nice way, the grounds itself with the various wings if rooms is pretty large. Nice pool with great poolside service. There was a second adult pool which we didn't use with a jacuzzi and there are hammocks all over the grounds for those whol like to soak up the sun in a quiet corner. Huge room with sofa seating area and desk, my husband especially was very impressed by the size of the room.

disappointing for a luxury resort
Posted Jan 14, 2013
I've stayed in hotels and motels of every brand out there. The general expectation is that as you go from motel to hotel to luxury resort, and as the rates you pay per room increases, that you get a little more attention to details and comfort of stay. First and foremost is the bed you sleep in. Our bed was clean but the linen was worn and the mattress cover wrinkled under the sheet, creating lumpy waves under me as I tossed and turned. The patron staying in the room above made nightly visits to the restroom obviated by the footsteps heard through the reverberating floor. The first room we were assigned to did not have the patio we had payed extra to have. The second room did have a patio but was noticeably smaller and was missing the fridge. The receptionist sent the handyman who brought in the only available spare fridge that was too large to fit in the assigned cabinet thus occupying space that was already limited. We made do. The toiletry was bare minimum for any hotel or motel. Generic soap, lotion and shower supplies that were in pump dispensers stuck to the wall. The staff was pleasant but not particularly accommodating. The only restaurant on site was overpriced for the mediocre food they were serving. The buildings and landscape were pleasant and successfully meant to evoke an Italian villa look. The grounds were nice although not meticulously tended to. There are two pools on the premises. We enjoyed the larger family pool daily.

Resort gardens beautiful
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Pros: Gardens
Cons: Resort and parking costs
Location: La Quinta very near, really good location
Resort fee expensive at 25 dollars per night plus tax and car parking 8 dollars pear night plus tax. Need to find good rates to accommodate this. Resort is really good and food good although a little expensive. Rooms are dark rather small but clean.

Pros: Surrounding private garden areas, pool
Location: Location is not near a town but that's ok, Morton's restaurant is short drive
Hotel pool staff were very nice and efficient. Comfortable beds, good food. Love the landscape, feels like you are away in the Italian mountains.

Beautiful pool area, nice grounds. Restaurant is nice but there is room for improvement on food quality - but ok overall.

Air conditioning in room didn't work. Hairdryer in room didn't work. Once the air conditioning was fixed, woke up the next morning to discover that something in the system had been leaking water all night through the closet and found my shirts drenched. Soind like I would go back?
