Fun, funky B&B is an oasis in the oasis
Posted Jan 1, 2013
Pros: Funky, themed guest rooms. Exceptionally warm, gracious staff. Unpretentious ambiance promotes guest-staff and guest-guest interactions.
Cons: None. Loved every minute there.
Location: Convenient to airport, downtown. Use the complimentary house bikes to pedal around the Movie Colony and celebrity tracts of vintage Palm Springs.
The Rendezvous is a '50s motel converted into a funky, charming, unpretentious, mid-century themed, 10-room B&B. The staff is warm and easy-going, the most gracious group of hoteliers we've ever encountered. They create an ambiance that promotes relaxing interactions between the guests and staff, and between the guests themselves; in just two days we had literally hours of pleasant conversations with our fellow guests from across the USA and even from the UK. We arrived a little tired and stressed from our travels, and left 48 hours later completely recharged and refreshed. Next time we'll stay longer at the Rendezvous, for sure!

Happy times at the Rendezvous!
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: Wonderful people
Cons: Nothing.
Location: About a mile from downtown Palm Springs, leisurely walk, quick drive, or a cheap cab ride away.
Relax and unwind in friendlier times, where 5:00 means cocktails by the pool and a healthy breakfast is served in three courses. This is the Rendezvous, a B&B in the midst of the modern doing its best to preserve a tiny bit of the past. Themed rooms (ours was the Route 66, with vintage cars and an auto-shop styled curtain rod), old school pool furnishings, new world wireless - what more could you ask for? If you visit, be sure to give Betty a hug - everyone at the Rendezvous makes you feel welcome, Betty makes you feel like family. Once you visit, you'll return - I know I will.

A Nice Friendly Place

The hotel is run well by extremely accommodating and friendly staff. We really appreciated the personal hot tubs, and enjoyed the fun "Old Hollywood kitsch" decor.

Quirky B7B

Pros: Betty
Cons: lack of conversation with fellow travellers
Location: brilliant, next to a nudist hotel, but you would never know
Fantastic quirky hotel. Good breakfast meals, more like brunch swimming pool during the day was empty apart from us. close to attractions free bike hire, pedal forward, brake pedal backwards lots of overnight visitors,so minimal interactions betweens travellers. Betty knows her restuarants and you only need to ask her and she will give a honest opinion, she was never wrong

Pros: Fantastic friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: A little out of the centre of town but not a problem at all.
We found the Hotel Rendevous fantastic! The staff made us feel so welcome. The included breakfast was healthy and varied. We loved the swimming pool and the 5pm cocktails!!

Exemplary Service
Posted Jan 19, 2012
Pros: The personalized service...we were treated like family, not just guests.
Location: Palm Springs....what else can I say?
Everything about this great hotel was exemplary ---- the staff, the service, the great pool and hot tub, the room amenities; this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. I felt like I was visiting family! It was a very "personalized" experience from beginning to end. Next time, I'm staying in the "Pretty in Pink" room!!! Loved everything about this experience.
