Good value for the price

Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: Breakfasts and staff.
Cons: Some repairs and cleaning could have improved the room.
We stayed 5 nights. The room was roomy but a bit dated and tired. The bath had some small damage issues and there was a picture missing on the wall -- the picture hangers were still on the wall. The bed was comfortable and we were able to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The best part of the stay was the staff was very nice and the breakfasts were enjoyable with eggs, meat, fruit, waffles, etc. The pool did look like it could use a cleaning but we didn't use it. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for the money.

Pass

Posted Feb 17, 2015
The room had a film on the floor. My granddaughters feet got so dirty just walking around in the room. It was comfortable to sleep. The room smelled of cigarettes and it was a non smoking room. The breakfast was decent no waffles or pancakes. The coffee was decent.

Close proximity to the fwy

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Train their receptionists to be cordial and helpful.
Location: Right down the street from Fantasy Springs Resort and Casino
2nd night of my stay at the hotel, I had difficulty finding a parking space. Did manage to find an open parking space in front of a U-Haul truck and trailer taking up 5-6 parking spaces. 4:00am that morning got a call from the reception desk asking if it was my car parked in the space in front of the motor home. The owner of the motor home wanted to leave and they couldn't get out without me moving my car. The receptionist told me that they would discount my night's stay by 15% for the inconvenience of waking me up and moving my car. Next morning asked the receptionist about the discount they offered, and though the receptionist was aware of the discount offer, they could not due anything at that time since my hotel room was prepaid through expedia. Took my number and said that the manager would call me to discuss. But, I haven't heard from them up to this point. My feeling is that the hotel management should do a better job of monitoring their parking spaces and not have vehicles take up so many available parking spaces close to the hotel.

Bad odor in halls and in our room.

Posted Feb 11, 2015
There was a bad odor in the hallways and especially in our room. We hoped it would dissipate w/the running of the a/c, but worsened instead. It was a pollution chemical smell. The beds were very comfortable and the room seemed clean. We liked the bathroom layout, too. The staff was friendly and helpful. It would be nice if the pool area was prettied up w/flowers. The breakfast was good. The main thing keeping us from returning is the odors.

Nice large dirty space.

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: Space and Location
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: Fantasy Springs Casino
The hotel was as I expected in the aesthetics area being an older hotel. The space, especially in the restroom area was much larger and very appealing. I liked that they accepted dogs. The down side was everything was just dirty, especially the floors. You had to wear socks at all times so the socks would blacken instead of your feet. For over 120 bucks the space and location close to the casinos is nice but with the uncleanliness, it left me feeling ripped off to a point.

Hotel is older but lobby and staff were fine. Our room, however, did not meet our expectations (cobwebs in corner, missing tile, stained chair). We would not stay here again.

Pretty worn down, room smelled old and smokey.

Posted Jan 19, 2015
This property is old and worn. Doors open to parking lot so very noisy. Breakfast offerings are meager. Room smelled of smoke when you first open the door, furnishings were all old and tired. Not a good value at any price. Look elsewhere.

Great room layout

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: room layout
Cons: the toaster. bread was growing mold before getting brown. Card keys were very difficult to get to work...had several made that did not work at all.
Location: We were there for 4 days of dog shows at the empire polo club.
The room was clean and the bathroom suite was conveniently laid out with a separate makeup vanity. We didn't get in each other's way. Perfect!

No-fancy, noisy motel

Posted Jan 5, 2015
The room was nice and spacy, very good beds, also nicely furnished. Sitting next to I-10, it s very noisy, no isolation, you hear every truck passing by on the freeway. When hotel is full you hardly find a parking space on premises. Fantasy Springs Hotel and Casino makes good dining and entertainment option right next door.
