What's Not To Like

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Great staff, friendly, pleasant and eager to serve
Cons: Misting machines pool-side to keep folks cooler, more comfortable and better hydrated
Location: Close to downtown where there are blocks of restaurants and some really neat places to dine.
Staff are great. Eager to serve, pleasant and happy to perform concierge services to the extent possible. I did not interact with pool-side staff so I cannot recommend them. My room was immaculate from my initial entry and I always had fresh towels and a neaten room upon my return each night. The decor is, as everyone notes, very sixties. Not really my style and the wallpaper in the hallways scared me a couple of times, but everything is clean and the hotel is well maintained. We were situated in the very rear of the complex and since we were here for golf, it suited me fine to not be close to the pool area. I did notice the majority of guests were young adults under the age of 25 and if I were here to enjoy more of the the hotel and stay pool side, I would definitely rethink my selection of the Riviera Palm Springs. But since we only came back after a round of golf and we always went to downtown to eat, the location and service were great.

Room was just OK.

The bathroom lighting was bad. We had to purchase a stronger lamp for the recessed light over the mirror to see ourself enough to properly comb our hair. The bed furniture legs were so prominate we kept skinning our chins on the posts. The elevators smelled very musty.

Great hotel. Rooms had a beautiful modern look. Love the pool especially the main one. At night the fire-pit around the pool was great to relax and enjoy.

Overall it was a good experience

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The people in the reception desk are really nice and helpful. The hotel itself is very stylish and I was comfortable.
Cons: The outside areas where the parking is at don't give out the impression of a great hotel, it looks more like an apartment building, and it's very dark
Location: It's just a few blocks from the main shops & restaurants and a few minutes from the Airway Tram which was an amazing experience.
The room was really nice, clean and I was comfortable. The entrance and the lobby are beautiful, and very stylish.

Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: Screen door to balcony was broken and hard to open and close.
Location: Great shopping at the Dessert Hill Outlets. Great restaurants and very friendly staff.
Staff was super friendly and helpful and great menu /room service. Came when weather was hot and hotel not crowded. It was peaceful and quiet. Best part is the pool.

5 star price for a 2 star hotel

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Cons: Too many. Decor. Clean the pools
Location: too far from anything. If you're drinking you have to cab everywhere
I expected a regally nice room and walked back into the 70's. Brown an orange were the colors for the hotel and A PADDED headboard. Pool water was murky and too many rules. I was happy to be put poolside at the smaller pool since my mom is handicapped (was very nice) BUT both Friday and Saturday we got kicked put due to a private event. Yes kicked put at 3:30 and then the event had a dj and it was loud til about 10:45. AGAIN not cool. So we missed put on the pool cuz of that and my mom didn't want to be around a bunch of jersey shore type people that are getting drunk. Plus ITS FAR for her to walk. Not what I expected. I will not go here again. So many nicer hotels in the area and for cheaper!
