A lot of little things that equal a mediocre stay.

The Saguaro is a nice hotel and the staff is generally kind and accommodating. There's just a lot of little inconveniences that add up when staying for more than 1 night. The rooms are nice, but the key cards are awlful and deactivate frequently. The front desk says to keep the keys away from your phones, which is hard to do when those 2 things are all I bring to the pool or put in my pocket. It was a busy weekend, but all the ice machines were out of order and the room fridge doesn't have a good freezer so buying your own ice is a waste. It would also be nice if there were more food options. El Jefe only offers expensive and small portioned Mexican food, and Tinto the same. Lastly, to be really picky the music at the pool is just terrible. The speakers are oddly dispersed and can barely be heard while floating in the pool and the music is bland and outdated. Doesn't fit the "Hip" style the hotel is shooting at. So overall, could be a good night stay but if you're planning a longer trip, keep looking. There are plenty of other options in the area.

It's colorful

It is kind of tacky. The hallway carpets are stained. Many of the ice dispensers were out of order. The food was expensive and just ok. 4 margaritas, ceviche, and a fish tacos plate cost about $100 including tip and tax. The hotel is trying too hard to be trendy but only success at being overpriced and overrated.

Pleasant

Cons: appearance, quality of bedding
Location: great location!
Hotel staff was very friendly, my teenage daughters enjoyed it very much, The DJ at the pool was great but however I would have enjoyed more amenities such as a bellman. The hotel needs to be spruced up. The bedding could use some major fabric softener! Outside carpets were stained which was a turnoff. With a little effort I think this could be a great boutique hotel

Was only there for a night and the hotel was very quiet - not many staying there.

Just kinda eh.

First and foremost, the fact that they're advertising this is a downtown location is ridiculous. It's about a ten minute drive from downtown, unless they count the shopping center across the street as downtown? In any event your first impression of this hotel is that it is dated. It's dated when you drive up, and it's dated when you enter, so the price point considering the design and location is absolutely fascinating. It's cheaper at the Hard Rock (which is not only nicer but actually is across the street from all the entertainment). Also, there's no informational booklet in the room about amenities so you're just sitting in there in a perpetual state of confusion constantly asking "how do I do this? Where is this?" And so on and so on. If you're looking for an average night in an average hotel with absolutely no sound proofing, this is the place for you!

Definitely needs a make over.

The place is mainly for the younger generation, who don't care about the looks of the room. I was told I would have a balcony with a pool veiw. The room was on the first floor and my view was the bushes covering a fenced pool. As I walked out the bushes covered the walkway. (Ridiculous). Thank goodness I was there for one night. I won't be back

Great Deal, wonderful relaxing stay.

My sister and I visited for two nights on a Sunday & Monday night. We had a great room rate. The front desk clerk even gave us a complimentary upgrade when we checked in. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall great stay! I will be back again.
