Nice hotel with clean rooms and close to downtown.

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: It's different in a sense it's not the boring usual hotel.
Cons: N/A
Location: It's very close to downtown Palm Springs.
If you want something different than the run-of-the mill hotels, this is the place for you. It's very funky and cool. It's hard not have fun here given the vibrant colors and the friendly staff. When we stayed there was a pool party, so it was very fun.

Good value for Palm Springs getaway.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Pool scene was great for the weekend. Live DJ and interesting people.
Cons: Confusing room/bed sizes.
Location: Right on the main drag into Palm Springs with easy access to all.
Overall a solid performer. Staff is nice, place is clean, great pool scene on weekends, convenient location and reasonable prices. Only one gripe: We reserved a King and the room had a queen. Was told by staff that it is what they call a "King". Not sure what to believe but would've appreciated a much larger bed.

50's decor, modern fun

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: The decor was great - I'd have loved to buy some of the lamps in our room. The service was friendly and laid back.
Location: The hotel had bikes guests could use for free, and PS has an excellent system of bike paths.
This hotel is a hoot if you like that sort of thing (I do). The decor is mid-century 20th C modern, lots of color, but the plumbing and Internet are 21st C, thank goodness. Built around a courtyard pool (basic Palm Springs), there was a disc jockey from 10 am to late at night. Not a quiet restful retreat, but lots of fun. Attracts a young crowd, with some older folks sprinkled in.

Really fun stay at the Saguaro

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Fun place to visit if you are a couple in your 20s-40s or as a family with teenage kids. The pool scene is like a Vegas pool scene by day and really chill at night. Comfy beds. Clean room. Nice view.

Party central with bad food

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Decor was nice but halls were shabby and worn.
Cons: The breakfast restaurant was awful. Bad food, abysmal service.
There was a party at the hotel all day all weekend. This I should have known upfront on your site. It could be heard loudly from our room.

Finally, a great place to chill in the desert.

Pros: I was smiling from the time I arrived to the time I left.
Location: The Purple Room next door is a place you should check out for live music!
Having stayed at another hotel where my experience was less than amazing, I took a chance and booked a night here. I have stayed at the Scottsdale,AZ property and enjoyed it very much. Upon check in, I was told a room was ready for me (3 hours before was expected). The room was clean, minimalist in a pleasing way and facing the pool area. The bed was firm and comfortable and the pillows are huge, which I like. The pool area is fairly quiet until around 1-2pm, so you can catch rays in the AM without distraction. ( On Sat, live DJ and crowd starts at 11am). The El Jeffe bar is intimate and a place to grab tasty tacos ( I recommend the carnitas). Breakfast was their Benedict dish, which I will recommend they replace the salami with bacon, because...EVERYTHING is better with bacon. Honorable mentions are front staff member Mario and pool staff Alex and Jessica- hard working and they did it with a real smile. I highly recommend anyone who likes a fun, classy yet modern environment give this place your first attention.

Roach Hotel

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Went to Palm Springs this past 2 days, I brought my husband and two babies for a two day vaca. I saw a good deal on this place since it's rated a 4 star hotel. But when we got there hotel was very hot no AC on the hall way and to top it all there was a cockroach on the carpet by the bed area when we first walked in the room. It was about 1 1/2inches long, I say that's big. I posted a pic of it on Yelp for those who want to see it. So I call front desk and told them, staff said what would u like us to do? Do u want someone to clean the room or do you want to switch to a different one? So yea really... talk about customer service, of course we wanted a different room preferably roach free. Anyways I wouldn't stay here ever again. It's not a 4 star hotel quality...the Riviera or Renaissance is WAY better than this place.
