Expensive for a cheap hotel.

I'm sure this was a nice place thirty years ago. The front desk staff were all business- no smiles, might as well have checked in with a robot. The room was basic, and I don't mind basic, but the cost was too high for purely basic. The pool area and breakfast were decent.

A Trip to RELAX

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: The closeness to downtown Palm Springs.
Cons: I know the contenental breakfast was free and over all good, now if they could provide at least a simply warm omelette it would be great.
The staff treated us great and willing to help in anything.

I enjoyed the hotel. Convenient location. Clean room. Wish the breakfast was served just a tad later for those who go out and about the night before. The resort fees seem a bit much for what was there. But, it was a pleasant place.

Very bad Customer Service at this hotel

Posted May 8, 2014
Pros: Clean hotel but bad service
Cons: Customer Service
Location: good
At the time of our arrival, we were given the darkest, non secure room, all the way at the back side of the hotel. Manager Leyla, promised us a discount, however, when I contacted her, after our stay, she was not responding to my requests. She told me to ask Expedia for discount, Expedia responded right away, and did give me the discount, however, I thought it was the responsibility of the Vagabond management to give us the discount. I called manager Leyla at least 5 days in a row, very unfriendly and irresponsible.

A Nice Stay

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: What I enjoyed most about this hotel was the continental breakfast and the pool.
Cons: The carpet in the room should be cleaned.
Location: Location was perfect. Visited Boomers, Children's Discovery Museum; wife went to Spa Resort Casino. Wanted to visit Wet n Wild, but it was closed.
The hotel was centrally located and close enough to downtown Palm Springs. The staff was very pleasant and went out of their way to give directions and provide information about any of your interests. We spent our spring break with the kids (5 and 7) and they had a ball playing in the pool. The grounds were well kept and the pool was clean. The free continental breakfast was really nice considering we stayed there for four days. Although the rooms were clean, I felt it was time they cleaned the carpets. Aside from that, the price, location, friendliness of the staff and the overall stay was really nice.

Pleasant hotel experience and good value

Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: Just about everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: Location is great and just set off slightly from the main street; close to everything in Palm Springs, attractions, restaurants and shopping.
I have stayed at Vagabond Inn, Palm Springs several times; I chose this hotel because it clean, comfortable, good facilities, great location, easy parking, easy check-in/check-out and has a good continental breakfast; staff are efficient and friendly. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. All in all, a great experience.

Clean good size rooms, nice pool, week coffee.

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Pricing
Just needed a one night stay, so didn't get to use the pool but it looked nice. The room was clean, old CRT TV, but it worked just fine. Free breakfast was good, but the coffee not so much. Too weak. Almost 2 miles from down town PS, so either drive or get a cab. Las Casuelas Mexican restaurant is a must stop for us.

My friends and I used this hotel for weekend 1 of Coachella 2014. Very pleased with the hotel, we didnt expect a mini fridge or a microwave. Bed was way bigger than we expected also. Our hairdryer broke the second day and they brought us a new one imidiately. Very nice staff.
