Very nice hotel. Staff was very friendly. Nice ambiance. Five minute walk to shopping and good restaurants. Two pools, hot tub and Spa. Good restaurant in hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would stay there again!

Staff was excellent from the moment you drive to the valet parking that is included as part of the resort fees I wish the room has a refregirator as it is 117 F in Palm Springs and it would have made sense to have a $380 dollar a night hotel room with a refrigerator don't you think?

Lipstick on a PigPosted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: It's nice they have 3 pools even tough they are all tiny.
Cons: Overall cleanliness. There was trash around the pool that needed to be picked up. The Lobby door was changing color from everyone pushing it open.
Location: This might be the best thing. You can walk to Downtown Palm Springs and buy way cheaper drinks.
It's an old hotel that they tried to clean up and make nice. Our room smelled (rm 111) of mold. The gym is tiny and tired. Just not worth the price.

Nice hotel with great poolsPosted Sep 8, 2014
This is a great hotel with great pools. Not exactly a party scene at the pools, which is exactly what I wanted. The rooms although, I was a bit disappointed with. The room was a non-smoking room yet smelled like old cigarette smoke. The AC didn't feel very powerful and the rooms were a bit small. Other than that, the hotel was great. Staff was amazing. They were always around and very helpful.

Nice place to relax and enjoy the comfortPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Silence, comfort
Cons: The procedure for cash deposit on the arrival and when i left was very bad. No privacy on check-in for and (my own!) deposit was n/a on check out.
I had an excellent stay, two resting days after a long driving trip. The hotel has much more to offer then u expect from the outside when u arrive. Its a warm bath you enter...

"Standard" Room is more like a Converted MotelPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Staff was kind and helpful. Atmosphere in the pool areas was calm, relaxed and pleasant. Free coffee in the morning.
Cons: The basic room is way too basic and in fact isn't as nice as most 3-star hotels.
Location: Close to downtown Palm Springs and restaurants, shops, etc.
Our visit to the Viceroy was so disappointing! We had heard what a beautiful hotel it was and was shocked at how mediocre and shabby our "standard" room was. It was in the upstairs corner of an outdoor building with no balcony, no view of anything, tiny, no counter in the bathroom (a pedestal sink in the bathroom of a 4-star hotel! Really?), decorations were of low quality (things weren't straight, carpet was super cheap), We called to ask about moving to another room and told that their was one available with a balcony but that it would cost an additional $190 per night. This was on top of the high price we had already paid for the room. the grounds were also disappointing though peaceful. The pools were OK but there wasn't a view of anything (even though we were so close to the mountains), they also needed way more umbrellas around the pool. Maybe this place is great if you stay in one of the bungalows but definitely look elsewhere if you're just getting a regular room and expecting it to be high quality. The drinks are delicious but the food is over-priced and decent at best. Breakfast was OK but the $3 tacos are sub-par - flavorless and tiny. For the prices they charge, this place is shockingly shabby.

Excellence at its bestPosted Sep 2, 2014
Cons: All was good
Location: Downtown Palm Springs, alot of great restaurants.
We had a wonderful and pleasant experience at the Viceroy boutique hotel. The staff were very accomodating and very attentive. The room and the grounds including three pools were very well kept and manicured. We spent a few times at the bar and Tad the bartender took great care of us, food and drink were amazing. The location is in the heart of it all in Palm Springs. We definitely will be coming back.
