Pros: In and out access quiet
Location: Lots of golf and shopping and great food.
Great location for golf in the whole area! We played 5 great courses in 5 days and think we enjoyed the Desert willow courses the best and the Seafood buffet at the course was excellent!

Nice hotel for extended stay

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: The villa was spacious and very comfy.
Location: This is in Palm Springs! Enough said!
We enjoyed our clean, comfortable villa. It has a full kitchen and would be perfect for an extended stay. There's nothing fancy about this resort but it was nice enough and perfectly suitable for our visit. We would definitely stay there again.

Very good facilities. Great rooms.

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Size and cleanliness. Full kitchen, and laundry in room.
Cons: Customer service.
Location: Good location and close to lots of restaurants and grocery.
Hotel management is not very consumer-centric because property is a time-share.

Beautiful setting and amazing 'rooms'

Posted Jan 5, 2015
The hotel is set in the middle of a golf course but it doesn't matter if you aren't a golfer (we aren't). The 'room' that we had was actually a very large one bedroom apartment, with fully fitted kitchen, large bathroom with double bath and stand alone large shower together with his and hers sinks. The living area was very comfortable with a large dining table, sofa and chairs and a free standing gas fire which was a nice touch as it was rather unseasonably chilly when we were there. Immediately outside was a small veranda with table and chairs and about 20 yards further on a very nice pool. You definitely need a car but there are many good restaurants with 10-15min drive. We will definitely look to come back again.

Nice place to stay

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Swimming pools, water activities, indoor games, friendly staff
Location: Joshua National park, Aerial Tram, Canyons etc.
Very good for family vacation. There were lot of swimming pools (max. depth 4 feet), which was nice for my kids. It had Volley ball, basket ball within the pool, which was awesome. The facilities include hammock, teen room, ping pong, foosball and billiards tables.

Great Palm Springs Resort

Posted Dec 24, 2014
The entire resort was excellent. The staff was super friendly - they even brought my 6 year-old son a "letter from Santa" with a treat two days before Christmas (my son was wide-eyed when they knocked on our door and delivered the letter). The fitness center, the family playroom, and the pool were all great accommodations. The room was comfortable and the bed was awesome - slept like a bear. Overall it was a wonderful stay. We plan on returning next year to Palm Springs to do more desert hiking and exploring the natural wilderness AND we plan on staying here at the Westin Resort again.

OK, but not Great. Timeshare . . .

I'll keep this brief. A few standouts -- Cameron, Lifeguard at the pool made a point of knowing the guests and taking care of the kids, and that was really appreciated. The units are new (Bldg 18, anyway) very nice and well appointed. Some of the frustrations during our week stay included: 1) "Concierge" -- real job is booking you into time shares 2) Cleaning -- mediocre, without fail something would be missing each day, and we came home to find our door left ajar thanks to a cleaning rag. 3) Construction noise from dawn 'til dusk -- we were in Bldg 18, which is right next to the newest building going up, and we were on the end, right next to the impact wrenches, genie lifts, and circular saws that start bright and early. Don't expect quiet enjoyment. 4) Other lifeguard (I won't mention her name), but her job seemed to be enforcing a list of rules that she made up on the fly. One day, I watched her tell a young boy who was clearly tall enough that he could not get on the pool slide because he was too short. He cried.
