Somewhat disappointingPosted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Location. Price (though that wasn't my primary reason for choosing this hotel). The room had plenty of space.
Cons: Kleenex, ice machine and a "do not disturb" sign. The internet connection was not really usable. I had to use my phone's hotspot to connect reliably
Location: Several good restaurants nearby and the movie theaters right down the street have awesome seating! It's really a great location.
I travel to the Hershey area fairly frequently to visit family and my requirements are fairly modest. A place to get some sleep and get cleaned up. I need to occationally work and email and I'd like to have a decent internet connection. The room was pretty basic, which is okay. It was clean enough for me, but not my wife. It's an old motel so I wasn't expecting to see my face in the bathroom tile. There are some minimal requirements that were not met. Every hotel room I've been in at least has a box of kleenex. It was wintertime and the ice machines were all shut down. They should have one in the lobby or have a freezer in the refrigerator so you can make your own ice. Maybe a microwave. The water in the shower was not quite hot enough. It was acceptable, but after a while I wanted a notch warmer and couldn't get it. I'm coming from out West and I don't want to have to get up at the crack of dawn, yet the walls have zero sound dampening effect. I had to tell the housekeeping twice within a one minute period that I wasn't ready for room service while I was trying to sleep and then they called my room and I told them to skip it for the day. There was no "do not disturb" sign that I could put on my door. The staff was nice enough, but not really very thoughtful. They seemed somewhat harried with no time to go out of their way to make the guest experience better. I *may* give this hotel another try, but I'll try somewhere else on my next trip.

Close to Hershey ParkPosted Oct 25, 2014
Cons: Smell of cleaning supplies.
Location: Hershey Park
Location is good, it is only 15min of relaxed driving from Hershey Park. Worst issue with the room was the smell... very strong smell of cleaning chemicals. Maybe they were trying to suppress smell of old building, maybe something else, but it was just too much. If it was not for that, it would be fairly nice motel (for an old building like that).

Decent RoomPosted Sep 15, 2014
Stayed one night before going to RV show in Hershey. Room was clean an comfortable/ Decent TV. Continental bkfst was basic muffins, cereal, and coffee. No real area to sit down and enjoy it, so went out for breakfast.
