Great place in the middle of LDS history sites

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Centrally located to our needs Helpful staff Comfortable room
Cons: A little wider range of breakfast items would have been nice; lots of carbs, not much protein.
Location: LDS Church history sites Erie Canal lock 29 Finger Lakes
Very nice, comfortable room that accommodated 4 adults easily. We had a room with a king bed and to twin beds, which was perfect for a couple and 2 other individuals. Never used the microwave that was provided, but did use the fridge. Some in our group used the exercise equipment, and thought it was a nice feature. Front desk personnel were very familiar with the things to see and do, and even had recommendations for places to eat. I would definitely stay here again if I return to visit the area.

Serenity

Pros: Size of rooms and beds. How peaceful quiet it was. Friendly staff.
Cons: The breakfast. We were getting really tired of the same hot/cold items we found at every hotel on our stay. The hot tub needed to be warmer.
Location: Palmyra is near all the LDS church stuff which was the reason we came. Everything is a must see. We drove up to Sodus bay which was a nice drive.
We had just stayed two nights in NYC in a tiny room with two double size beds. When we saw how big these rooms were we were excited. Both beds were king size and they were comfortable. The rooms have little kitchenettes which made it nice to reheat left overs. The lobby was beautiful and the gift shop had some neat LDS things to buy. The hot tub was an added bonus. The whole place was quiet and peaceful. We were blown away by the rolling green hills and the massive lawns each home had. I would definitely revisit Palmyra and stay here again.

Pros: Close to where we wanted to visit
Cons: Gift shop was bare
Location: LDS Historic sites Erie Canal sites
Reserved room months in advance - yet when we arrived we were told that the only room available was a handicapped room, it was nice, clean, etc. but some aspects were not very comfortable, asked to be moved and again was told that was the only room availave, disappointed.

Attended a weekend wedding. Hotel was minutes from the wedding which made it very convenient. Very easy to find. Brought a GPS, but did not need it. Check-in / check-out was simple. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

Family Vaction

Pros: My kids thoroughly enjoyed the fact that we could have a hotel room with a king bed for Mom and Dad and two twin beds for them. No bed sharing.
This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It wasn't the most luxurious hotel but I could definitely tell it was the cleanest, had the nicest staff and was just all around great. The first morning after waking up I saw a charter bus leaving the parking lot. I asked a staff member if a group had stayed there overnight and they said yes. I never heard them and never even knew that large of a group was there. The vending machines were even cheaper then any other hotel I have ever seen.

Pros: Spacious room which was very comfortable and clean.
Cons: Some more tables in the breakfast room
Location: Very close to the LDS visitors center, temple and walking distance from the sacred grove
Our stay was very comfortable. Only criticism was that there were not enough tables in the breakfast room for the size of the hotel, there was space for a couple more small tables for two people. The young girl on the front desk was very pleasant but not able to answer our questions on local sites.

Pros: Clean
Location: All of Palmyra - this is probably one of the best hotels.
We arrived late at night from driving from NYC. They held the room for us - we had booked through expedia and couldn't cancel. We liked the room, went to sleep @4AM and had to get out of the room by 11AM (after only spending 7 hours total in the hotel). They weren't flexible in any later checkout (even asking to leave at noon!) We asked about this several times.

Nice place to stay in a beautiful town

My husband and I stayed here for two night while visiting the church history sites in the area. Location, free wifi, and free breakfast were the reasons I booked this hotel. It was a wonderful experience. I will definitely choose this hotel again when we go back with our kids.
