Way too small no communication with booking.
It was ok but a tight squeeze. I booked an up grade 2 bedroom and 2 bath but never received the room upgrade at all family of four was forced to sleep in a tight studio space with only one bathroom. Very uncomfortable sharing that kind of space with my kids and their dad. Did communicate with company but it was then the resort stating they didn’t have it available any longer but it appeared online. I’m still waiting on a refund from the over payment and then and refund from not getting the upgrade the whole thing was a headache after spending 2.5 hours in the phone with customer service, and nothing was accomplished besides a refund.
My entire space for almost a week with 4 people after booking a 2 bedroom and 2 bath I was placed here because they forgot my upgrade that I paid an extra $803 for .!

The room was nice but we won’t stay here again. Washing machine not working properly, smoke detectors beeped for 2 days until maintenance came to change batteries. Parking garage is a joke, too small for large vehicles and the turns are too tight requiring you to often back up to allow others to get through. Car was keyed while parked next to a reserved spot for a specific unit, security didn’t want to contact the condo owner.. just said they will say they didn’t do it (this was within a 4 hour window the car was parked in this spot). Security harasses guests over paper wristbands that must be worn at ALL times - this wasn’t necessary last time (only while using the amenities) my 17 year old daughter was stopped and told she couldn’t go to the room until I brought her a wristband even though she had pictures of the confirmation # the texts from the resort confirming the check in and pics of the wristbands… this was at 11 pm. There was constant music blaring from balconies as well as the condo reeking of pot smoke from neighboring units but that’s apparently allowed if you have a wristband 🙄. The pool lounge chairs were put up every time there was a chance of wind leaving guests to sit on beach towels at the pool. The elevators are often out of service and be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes to get on one especially during peak times. (Service staff use the same elevators with their cleaning carts). Oh- don’t lose your paper wristband.. the replacement fee is now $100.

This place is old and definitely needs some refurbishing. The pool was too cold to swim in and the hot tub was too full of unsupervised children for adults to even think about getting in. The parking and elevator situation were a nightmare. The only good thing about this place is the location.

What I liked - For my first time in Florida, it was a nice place and location. The room was nice a spacious also. The pool area snd beach we’re nice also. What I didn’t like - stains on the carpet in the main bedroom, very noticeable, issue with fittings in the ensuite, the toilet roll holder was loose, one of the towel railings was loose also. the toilet itself wasn’t fixed to the floor. Disappointing - I paid a cleaning fee of nearly $200 which to me seems to be a bit of a rorte, as it doesn’t look like the previous visitors cleaning payment went to cleaning the carpet and wiping down some walls. These are all fixable items that would have raised the remarks. Would I recommend the venue- I would, but your cleaning and maintenance departments needs to lift their game. Cheers

I’ve been staying there for years now. My only complaint is that they will not allow my dog to stay there but I see owners bringing their dogs along. I know the difference but also know that probably stayed in a room where dogs were brought. I wish they change the rules because my stay was wonderful but I don’t know if I can stay away for 10 days without my baby girl next time around.

We really liked the property but was very disappointed in the condo. It’s really outdated The air conditioner was very poor and the bed is broken and very uncomfortable. We have stayed there in the past but I’m not sure we will come back because of the condition of the condo.

I would say our stay at Shores of Panama was ok; not great but not terrible either. The parking garage is definitely too small; someone was parked over the line in our designated space(which was complicated to find, not in any numerical order). Our parking passes and bracelets for access were not in our room as they were suppose to be. We had to go to the concierge desk the next day were I was charbed an additional $60 for passes and bracelets(they had us booked under a 2bd 2 bath when we were 3 bd 3 bath). Seemed as tho this facility was a party haven; super loud till early in the am. Our ceiling started leaking on the 15th floor, the unit smelled as tho it had sewage issues, and the hallway(outside the unit) flooded when it rained. Other than that, the location is great and tbe pool is nice.

First what I like: I like the room. It was like being at home. Plenty of space, washer/dryer, stove, fridge. Pools are nice. Staff at the pools and beach were attentive. What I didn’t like: I didn’t like the actual building. You will need a lot of patience. Elevator gets very crowded, you will need plenty of time to get out of building. Parking is pretty tight, you has to be a good driver. Avoid the lunch and dinner times, getting out will be a headache. No parking spot was assigned for us, we had to hunt for a “yellow space” every time, sometimes you will park far and will have to walk a distance. *this doesn’t have to do with hotel, but the beach was full of seaweed, not sure if it was the season but couldn’t enjoy much, stayed in the pools most of the time.

We had the most beahtiful view of the gulf from our room in 1406!! The beach had white sand and clear emerald water!! We really enjoyed the ocean water as well as the size and layout of the pool. Now for the bad, there were omly 2 elevators doe the entire condo. There is probably around 800 rooms, and all of us had to share just 2 elevators. Anytime we used the elevator it was at least a 20 minute ordeal at minimum. Secondly, our room had black moldy ceilings, pubic hair on the bed sheets, and decay of the toilet! It also needs some renovation, as most of the appliances, furniture, and decoration were out of date. For what I payed, I expected much more from this room! Check- in is terrible! You must download this app to have access to your room which has the key cards inside. Don't think about coming early ro see if your room is ready or asking the people at the front desk for help. Check in remains at 4 even if the room is ready. The people at the front desk are not even affiliated eith the shores of panama, so they cannot help you with it. You have to go to a whole different resort to talk to people about shores of panama. Lastly they charge you 60 dollars at check in for 4 paper wristbands and a rule book lol. These green wristbands must be worn at all times, security will call you out and make you go get another one. They charge 10 dollars to replace these thin paper bands if you lose them. In order to get a replacement you have to bring the old one in.

Resort collection is an outside group that handles the property at shores of Panama, but that’s the catch. They’re outside. When we arrived at the property, we couldn’t immediately check in and had to walk to edge water (which is a few miles; and we couldn’t get an u we cause uber run scarce). Anyways, the company that runs it wouldn’t even give us a ride back to our hotel. The only thing that saved our trip was the water fun & amenities.

The pool and beach was nice. The parking garage was the worst and most unorganized ive ever seen. Our washer/dryer didn't work and wasn't replaced the entire week had to go to the laundry mat. Roaches in the room. A plumbing leak in the master bath was reported and never fixed. Had to fix the thermostat and cable my self upon checkin.

The room/condo itself was really nice and comfy. They refused to give me a regular key and the digital key sucked. We had to have someone stay in the room so that we could get back in because the digital key stopped unlocking the door. They communication was ridiculous. I was put through all kinds of red tape just to get checked in and to get a digital key code.

My biggest complaint is the elevators. Terrible!! Parking deck, Terrible!!.. i didnt like the fact you pay all this money to stay for an entire week but still got to pay for a wristband to park and get in the pool that you have already paid to stay in that resort!! No other resort i have ever stayed in made you pay to get in their pool that you are staying in..awful!! Never will we stay again.. ill find somewhere better that doesnt have those ridiculous fees

Room was clean and as expected BUT Was not able to check into the room until 7pm, paid to park 2 cars and only had one spot and wasn’t allowed to park in any other spot, security at the pool was very rude, never once used the elevator it would pass your floor and then be so crowded you couldn’t get on.

Poor management of property-staff was nice but not at all helpful when it came to needing help because so many of the units are parceled out to different owners. The resort is huge and there are 8 elevators-4 of which did not work at different times. Our ground floor apartment flooded because of a leak in the hallway (floors were completely under water) on Tuesday at 5am-we could not get anyone to help us until Wednesday at 3pm in which they put a blow dryer in there- so we had to sleep in that room because we couldn't even get them to give us a new room. The router was ripped out of the wall so we had no internet for the whole week we stayed. Towel racks had been rippe off the walls-no basic amenties such as paper towels, coffee filters, trash bags-things you get in ANY hotel. Indoor pools and hot tubs were all closed for maintenance the whole week-so we had a pool and 1 hot tub to share with the ENTIRE packed resort. Despite our room being flooded for 2 whole days, no router, no response or help, we were not even given an apology or offered any help/discount, etc. Vacationer's be warned DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
While we have been so blessed and have had the most fun and relaxing moms trip we could have ever asked for…(shout out to our moms and husbands for holding down the fort!) 🚨DO NOT EVER STAY AT SHORES OF PANAMA IN PANAMA CITY BEACH EVEN IF IT IS FREE! 🚨 1. The parking garage is horrible. The rooms have assigned parking but there is no order to the spots we have been here 3 days and still have not found our designated parking spot! 2. The elevators are horrible they constantly get stuck and it takes 45 mins minimum to get them unstuck. While other elevators are packing in and then more elevators get stuck! We walked 19 floors of stairs today to get to our room as a result of this! 3. Our room (as pictured below) was trashed!!!! A.The air conditioning unit was falling out of the wall. B.The trim was on the floor. C. The bed was broken and was being held up by a sand bucket. They came and fixed the bed and it immidiately broke again. D. The ceiling had black mold on it E. The stove was not only popped up but would not work. F. The faucet in the kitchen is broken. G. The WiFi is horrible. H. The ceiling is peeling from water damage in the kitchen over the light and falling onto the kitchen counter. I. They do not clean the showers well, as our shower has mold over the caulking. 4.Floats and drinks are not allowed at the pool and they will make you get out. It doesn’t matter if your a guest or if you have a wrist band or not! 5. We were not placed in the room that we booked. When we explained this concern we were told that they had no vacancy. 6. This place is at 100% occupancy to 80% parking! You pay for a parking pass ($60) and then there is actually not room for everyone in the garage you pay for a pass to park in! 7. The staff here is so rude! They do not want to deal with you, hear from you, or help you! They just want you to go away! They are sarcastic and unconcerned with anything that you need or want. 8. Towels are considered gold! You get one rag and one towel per room. They are not replenished your entire stay. Once again the staff is rude so do not ask for more! Save yourself and your family from the frustration of the amentities and disgusting rooms of this condominium. You will thank me later!!! 🥴

NEVER AGAIN!!
If you are just going to PCB to get drunk 24/7, want to pay WAY too much, and don't care if you stay in filth that is falling apart, then this is the "resort" you've been looking for. The carpet in our condo was not vacuumed after the previous tenants left, or it could be that the carpet itself was just too far gone to be able to tell a difference. The walls were 15 shades of white from where holes were patched. In the main restroom there was hardware and pieces of towel racks on the wall but not the whole thing. In the master bath the toilet wasn't even bolted to the floor. The mattresses were all hard as rocks. The appliances and pots and pans in the kitchen were all old and rusty, as was the washer and dryer, and the entire place has a permanent sour smell. The parking garage is ridiculous. It's 12 floors and if you are "lucky" like us and stay above the 12th floor you just have to hope you can find your spot in that mess. The corners are so tight that 2 cars cannot pass you just have to take the corner and pray no one is coming from the opposite direction (Lord forbid they spend a little bit of their "resort fees" on mirrors so people don't wreck). We strongly discourage anyone from staying here. Oh and don't even think about them caring one bit about you once they have your money. They'll tell you that you're welcome to leave with no refund and they'll fill your room before you checkout. We will never be back!!

Great room. Everything else was meh 😒
Check in was a mess and there were fees that we weren’t told about until we arrived (after being to 3 different places to check in). The elevators were a mess to say the least. We ended up walking up 17 floors with our luggage 😕. Then our keycard did not work and we waited 20 minutes in the heat after walking 17 floors, to get replacements. The room was great and the amenities were nice. The view was awesome. Overall the resort itself was lovely but they needed better customer service.

Honest review from staying here multiple times
Read my review first! I’ve stayed here 5 times now. From spring break, memorial week, and later summer. This place is a great value for what you get on the coastline of Panama City. A few things: Yes you will wait for the elevator sometimes. Plan for it. If you beat the beach crowd you’ll get right down with no problem. Instead of heading back to your room at 4-5 when everyone does, hang by the pool and listen to the live music until 6 when it clears out. Next, the parking garage can get busy during the after noon. Leave a little early, you might have to wait an extra 15 mins to pull out. It’s a high traffic area because it’s such a popular spot in town! The pool here is amazing and there is live music every afternoon at 6. If you don’t like a crowd on the beach, don’t come here. It’s a very popular spot. So there a lot of people on the beach having a good time. This is a plus for me because we like meeting new people and having a good time. Pineapple willies is right next door for drinks and food. There are also restaurants, putt putt, arcade, go carts, ice cream, coffee, bars, and shopping all within less than a mile to walk. Some rooms are a little outdated, but have everything you need to cook, wash clothes, and store your things. I’ve had a few lights not work and furniture be old but I never care much. The view from the balcony is to die for. If you’re on the right side of the building you can see the sunset. This isn’t a 5 star resort, but it’s a great one.I’ll be back

Our condo was in poor condition. The ceiling looked to have water damage in the kitchen. The tile was also cracked in the kitchen. The carpet was rolling up and lumpy which was a fall hazard. The furniture in our unit was shabby and at one time I was afraid the bunk beds were going to fall in on my son. There was no wifi in our unit and none of the tv's were connected to the cable. The indoor pool and hot tub was out of service our entire stay. When I called maintenance there was no answer. The outdoor pool area was excellent. The landscaping was beautiful and there was plenty of security at all times.

Check in folks were rude, unit only comes with one parking spot (closest at parking is 0.5 miles away), property in general is loud. Elevators take an extremely long time. Fees are due to not only VRBO but then additional money is due at check in to the facility. The condo was fine but wouldn’t recommend based on the overall facility

Our time at the Shores of Panama was good but it could have been much better. The view was beautiful and the room itself was okay except the bed was so hard I might as well have been sleeping on the floor. The advertised wifi was not a thing. Each condo owner is responsible for providing the wifi and ours did not do so. Nor does the property provide wifi around the pool deck. My bigger concern was lack of communication. We booked through Expedia so we knew in advance that some of the cost we would have to pay at the resort. When we arrived to check in the we were told that we needed to drive several miles down the beach to another report to check-in because the condo we rented was owned by another property management group. When we arrived there we were first told yes this is where we check in the two other employees said no, you’re supposed to check in elsewhere. After a long, frustrating event, we finally checked in and finally went to get settled in our condo. The parking deck is so poorly designed it’s dangerous! It’s near impossible for two vehicles to travers corners at the same time. It makes turns very unsafe. All the corners lack mirrors to allow you to see if anyone is coming. The parking spaces themselves are so narrow it’s impossible to open car doors to get in and out. We will never stay here again.

Avoid Booking here. Misleading manager
Me and my family booked our stay w/ vrbo. Check-in was a pain. Host was impossible to contact. We had to call VRBO because the host never provided check-in information. Hidden parking/pool fee $60 .Another hidden fee of $170. Both not mentioned before booking. Over all horrible experience.

Our room was awesome, the view of the beach was so beautiful, you could not ask for a better pool our children loved it, they also loved the indoor pool, and the beach was so easy to get to which also offered chairs witb umbrellas if you wanted them. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone, thanks for a great vacation stay Shores of Panama.

The patio furniture was terrible. The furniture sofa and chairs were stained and dirty.
The elevator service was terrible. We waisted so much time waiting to get on and off the elevator that we couldn't really enjoy the stay and beach. The Bed was uncomfortable with only 2 pillows on a master big bed. The furniture was stained and dirty. The patio furniture was torn and only one night stand in the bedroom that look like it was just thrown in there. We will never stay at this property again for the amount we had to pay. Very motel like feel.

The only thing I didn’t like was not knowing where to check in. I never got an email telling me to check in at Majestic. I went to shores of panama to check in and they didn’t have me in the system. Made me think I drove 10 hours for no room. Scared me. Better communication on where to check in would be helpful in the future.

I had posted previously after initial check listing a few different issues. It was a rough stay initially but after receiving a call back from David at the resort, we were able to get some things sorted out and fixed. It was spring break and a very chaotic time so although the stay could have been better, David did a great job of helping us out. He listened to and looked into all of our issues/concerns and went above and beyond to make things right and because of that we will now definitely be coming back. After a year of the world being cooped up inside due to COVID, it’s without a doubt that things might not be running as smooth and that fact along with the already crazy time of year for the resort makes sense why things would have been a little off on this stay for us. But with his help and communication we would be happy to come back to Shores again.

Perfect, fun and affordable!
The Shores of Panama was fantastic. A beautiful pool, beach, amenities (bar and snack shack), great location, assigned parking, well appointed and clean rooms, friendly staff, courteous guests which all made for a great trip. Oh and don't pay attention to the reviews about the elevators. There's a lot of guests to move and they were just fine. My only recommendation to the staff would be to accommodate guests utilizing the pool/beach if the room is not ready at check in time. We had to wait a few hours for the room to be ready and can only kill so much time. Aside from that had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend Shores of Panama!

Check in was horrible I got sent to 3 different locations for check in. The older gray headed lady working desk at the shores of Panama was very rude and does not need to work customer service. After taking almost 2 hours of driving and trying to get checked in the condo wasn’t even ready till 7pm and was suppose to be ready at 4pm. They can use the excuse that they had a lot of people checking out that day but they make enough money to hire more house keeping. The late check in almost caused me to miss my grocery pick up. The indoor pool and hot tub was horrible and the chemicals from both were way too strong so we were only able to stay in a few minutes at a time. The check in process is the main reason that I will not book here again.
