Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort is a gated resort community with 110 acres of private beach, and an 11,500-square-foot lagoon-style pool with rock formation islands and waterfalls. A fitness center offers cardio and Nautilus equipment and fitness classes. An on-site activities director assists guests with vacation planning, and the resort offers supervised activities and programs for children (surcharge).

Shops, including an ice cream parlor, surf shop, and Internet café are scattered throughout the resort. Guests can access the different areas of the resort via Edgewater's Beach Resort Tram.

Recreational amenities at this Panama City Beach resort include a lagoon-style pool, 11 additional pools, and four spa tubs. A shuffleboard court and 11 tennis courts are also on site. A fitness center offers cardio and Nautilus equipment, as well as yoga, toning, and water aerobics classes.

Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort's Executive Golf Course provides nine holes of par-three golf.

“Unfair fees”

BeWare!!! We stayed 3 nights and had to pay $40.00 non-refundable damage deposit.This seems very unfair if you do not damage your room. Room was clean with a beautiful view of ocean.

“nice accommodations but no hot tub on the golfing villa grounds”

We really enjoyed our stay in our one-bedroom golf villa, which is on the north side of the highway across from the beach. There is a walkway over the highway to get to the beach. This is a huge property. We had only one problem, and it might prevent us from returning. There are swimming pools on the golf side, but no whirlpools. We drove over (again, it is a huge property) one day to use the whirlpool, but it was inconvenient to do so. It would be a tremendous improvement for the property to add at least one whirlpool on the golf side. The location was great. The superb Firefly restaurant was extremely close. Attractions in both directions, so this property is centrally located to be able to see everything. Our visit was in early October, so some attractions and restaurants were closed for the season. It didn't bother us, though, because there was still enough to fill up our week.

Dining

Firefly - this is a special place! Plan to spend a romantic evening and a good bit of money. Worth every penny we spent! The crab soup was divine! Crab cakes, perfectly cooked steaks, great side items and salads. We would plan to go back if we visit the area again. BTW, the money we saved by staying on the golf side instead of the beach side more than covered the cost of our dinner for two.

“Great place to stay-wonderful for families”

We stayed over spring break. Unfortunate for us the weather was awful-not anyones fault. My review is based on the potential with great weather. I can't wait to go back!!! Even given the weather we were entertained everyday by the turtles and fish in the water surrounding the resort (visible from our balcony). Great access to the beautiful beach and so many nearby attractions. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. You definately feel safe here. Very close to the panama city airport. Full kitchens and a grocery store up the street. The grounds were so lovely it is beyond words. The Oceans restraunt is outstanding and right there on the grounds. I could go on and on but hope you get the gist. Can't wait to go back. . We don't play golf or tennis but if you do this comes highly recommend.

“Great first time stay”

This was our first time at this resort and we really enjoyed out stay. We stayed in a deluxe 2 bedroom on the 10th floor. I wouldn't recommend staying on the upper levels is you have any problems with heights. There is not an inside corridor. Also, there was no housekeeping (that was made clear up front) but they were happy to bring clean towels and/or bed sheets. Unfortunately, we only stayed for the weekend and didn't find the time to check out all the amenities that were offered. But, overall were very satisfied with the staff, the room, and the view. Would definitely stay here again!

“One of the best hotels in Panama City Beach!!”

This hotel location is great!! You can enjoy an ocean view from your room. Also, it is really colse to the beach, so you can access to the beach whenever you want. Furthermore, reception staf were very kind. They treated me politely however I asked many requests for them.

“We will return and would be delighted with the same room.”

We were amazed that we had a separate bedroom, two baths, and a full kitchen. The furniture was comfortable and the deck was a great place for relaxing. In a short time it felt like home. We hated to leave.

St. Andrews State Park because of the views and uncrowded beaches.

The boat ride to Shell Isand was very enjoyable on a Captain Andrews boat. Most were disappointed with the lack of shells on Shell Island, but it was very pretty. We found more shells on the beach at our hotel.
