This trip was for pleasure for my family.
After finding a Hotel with a pool and booking it, Red Roof Inn Panama City, FL,
I reached out through email to the Red Roof Inn asking if I could check in early. Well I never got a response. Two days prior to showing up that is. Disappointing but not a game changer.
Problem: When checking in I was told just a minute so HE could answer a phone call.
The phone call was about a customer trying to cancel his reservation! Hmmm..
I’m a customer that was trying to sign into your establishment, not trying to get out of paying for establishment. Hmmm..
5 min later! We started the process. He tells me he needs my ID and I give him my VA ID on which I use a lot at Red Roof Inns, and he tells me he can’t use that! I tells me that it’s a Red Roof Inn policy! I tell him that it was not a problem at the other 13 times I used it across the United States! I do not think it’s a Red Roof Inn policy. He then told me that it was a on site policy and I gave him my DL. Shame on him for saying that. Bullying is not well like across America.
Zero tolerance.
The room itself was not the one shown on its advertisement that I prepaid for.
The room was dirty. Dirty in the way of food on the walls, floor not cleaned and the bed comforter had stains on it.
As far as the other service members, maintenance, morning desk, morning cafe were great people.
