Would not go back to this resort again

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: The units were on the beach with beach views.
Cons: Tell the resort to take back their pool!
Location: Walking distance to popular restaurant Pineapple Willy's and a very close drive to Wal-Mart and other local restaurants.
My family has been going to PCB, FL for 15 years and stayed at several different condo resorts. Expedia had a good rate for 4th of July Holiday for this property so we booked it - wish we hadn't. Check-in/check out is off site. At check-in we were tapped for an additional $150 for cleaning fee and non-refundable damage waiver fee, plus taxes. Check-in didn't tell us that our unit had an assigned parking place (found out by me calling since we could not find any non-reserved places and I just thought I'd ask if there was a reserved one). But here's the real kicker - the resort's pool is not owned by the resort - had to pay $30/PER DAY for my family to use the pool - NEVER, EVER has this been done at any other resort. What made it worse is that there were not enough lounge chairs and the majority of the ones on site were broken! Folks were not happy, us included. Felt like this was scam-like and nowhere did it say there was a per day pool charge. To boot, they put these itchy plastic paper wristbands on you the day you arrive (if you want to use the pool) that CANNOT be removed once put on. Combine that with the fact that with over 700 units there are only 6 sets of elevators. It was a 15-20 min wait to catch an elevator every single time. With so many other condo resorts in PCB to chose from, we will be striking this one off our list.

Too many hidden charges

Will not book at this hotel ever. Too much charges and you have to pay to access the beach and all the amenities

Spacious with Unnecessary Fees

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Cons: NO....FEES for using the amenities. i.e. the pool!
Location: Lots of things to do near by
The resort was very nice overall. The room was spacious and clean and nicely decorated. However, I had to go to another property to check in only to learn that you had to pay a "club fee" to use the pool!!!!! This should have been listed in the disclosure at the time of booking. When vacationing on a budget having the pay to use a pool was a shock. I have stayed at several other properties at PCB and have NEVER encountered this. One night of our stay a key card wouldn't open the door and had to go to yet another property to get this fixed. They could not help us at the resort.

Hidden cost to use pools and beach access

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Full disclosure on all fees
I booked through Expedia and I had to go to 4 different places to get checked in. Upon checking in I was hit with another $140 fee that I didn't know about. I had 2 holes in the ceiling in the master bathroom that was being caused by the toilet in the room above leaking down and dripping. The view from the room was nice but to use the pool and have beech access was another $28 a day. Who has a hotel on the beech and then charges extra to go to the beech. The non reserved parking was very limited when the condos got busy. I've stayed at nicer condos in the area for a better price.

I was a little disappointed, upon arriving, I had to speak with 4 different ppl to find out who actually had my reservation. After finding where to check in, I was stuck with a $147 cleaning fee, which the lady at the desk smiled and said, " you should have seen that in the small print somewhere". Once checked into the hotel, I was charges a daily fee to use the hotels pool, I've never stayed anywhere that I have had to pay a daily fee to swim in the pool.......I will probably never book here again and definitely not through a third party who can't tell all costs up front.

This resort charges you for everything. Nothing comes with booking the room such as pool, gym, different amenities. This was our first family vacation to Florida. My truck was towed ftom the parking garage, even though my parking pass was in the window. We had to wait 45 mins before being able to get in the room. Key cards didn't work after trying several times with different cards. The kids was very disappointed not being able to enjoy the entire resort. Each pass was $28.50 pp in order to enjoy the pools. You would think this would be included in the hotel booking. Paying $220 a night isn't cheap. We made the best of our vacation with the different circumstances.

Would never stay again

The hotel had no towels available and they made us drive to another hotel to pick them up even after I had already paid additional money for daily made service. Workers were not attentive to their guest and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any one even if it was the last hotel available. They would be better off sleeping in their car because the service would be better.

Great Get a way

Pros: Location on the beach, staff, and privacy of the resort. It was just 2 adults but my children would love this place. Very family friendly
Cons: Check in and check out information
Location: Everything you need is close to you, for families or couples. Bars, dining, walmart, and gift shops all within walking distance.
We loved our location. Everyone was friendly, we had everything we needed close to us. The staff was extra helpful with everything we needed. The only problem that we had was check-in and check out. Check in was at 4, we arrived at the location as told and they were closed, we had to back track and go to the second location. When we went to check out, went to the lobby and they explained to me that we had to check out the same place that we checked in. So we called the number provided and they told me I could not check out there, I had to go to a second resort there. Just a little hassle, but nothing to bad. Over all I will stay at the Shores of Panama again. Amazing place.
