We had some problems with the rooms/cabin arrangements as presented by hotel.com. However the hotel resolved everything to our satisfaction. The location is beautiful and quiet and convenient if you want to do the ziplines. Otherwise it is 7km from Boquete on a bad road. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel, great food, poor access and no hikingPosted Jan 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a very nice hotel with great food but it is oriented towards its zip line There are no hiking trails to speak of and not much to do. You can hike up the road a steep 30 minute walk but it doesn't lead to anything and the area is a coffee plantation. Perhaps with a guide and more time you may be able to do some additional hiking but we were not there long enough to find out. They have a shuttle from Boquette several times a day, if you don't want to drive the rough road. But once there, the options are limited.

Hard to get to and from Boquete from herePosted Dec 19, 2012
The rooms/cabins are clean, comfortable, and pretty functional. The larger problem with this hotel is getting there and back from Boquete. About 3 kilometers of the 7 kilometer road from Boquete to the hotel is unpaved and rocky - a truly terrible ride in most automobiles. Because of this, only 2 taxis will make the trip back and forth, and it costs $15 each way. Additionally, the hotel only provides transportation to Boquete three times a day. The last ride back to the hotel? 1:30pm! Until the road is paved, its not worth staying there. However, going up for the tours is a fine idea, and the restaurant is pretty good.

Cons: The road to the resort
Location: Quite remote
We only stayed one night and arrived fairly late. It was pouring rain so definitely not the best conditions but we were made to feel very welcome. The road up to the resort had to be the longest 4 kms we have travelled in awhile. Once we were settled in to the room we realized we had no towels and had to go back to the front desk to get some. We got 2 towels but no face cloths or hand towels. The owner did arrange for our transportation back to town in the morning. If you are looking for an out of the way place with amazing scenery and friendly and helpful staff it's perfect.

Beautiful but inconvenient locationPosted Sep 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
Boquete Tree Trek is 7km from town, up in the mountains, in an incredibly beautiful setting with a waterfall on the property. Due to its distance from town and the limited shuttle schedule from the resort (their schedule is based on getting employees and zipliners back and forth), it can be expensive by taxi to get there. But the cost is worth it! The location is beautiful, the food is excellent and the staff is very pleasant. My daughter and I both wished that our husbands had been with us, as it is a very romantic setting. I would definitely come here again if I was in the area.
