“Free airport shuttle, reasonable place”
We have stayed at the Hotel Costa Inn 3 times while flying into Panama. They offer a free airport shuttle which saves some $$, although last time the shuttle was upstairs and the hotel representative (and us) were downstairs, and apparently there was no communication (despite both the shuttle driver and the hotel representative being on their cell phones almost constantly). Waited over an hour to leave the airport. Hotel is clean, reasonably comfortable. Wireless internet on each floor (free) and free breakfast (although last time there was very little food on the breakfast buffet - guess they did not expect so many guests to eat breakfast). The first 2 times we stayed here we were given a large room on the front of the building. Last time our room was significantly smaller, but still fine. Not too many restaurants in the neighborhood, but we had a pleasant meal just down the street at a local restaurant. Walking distance to a large Novey hardware store and a large Riba Smith grocery store.
“surprised”
The day we arrived at the room we saw flukes and during the 4 days we were never put water in the room. No change hotel because we had paid in advance. The pool area was closed, the lights went a whole day. At the hotel you need much maintenance.
“Not for aclean traveller”
i booked this hotal becuase of its location the price was very un expensive and i was not expecting any thing fancy but at least clean. Well it is not. Linens were old and dirty towels the size of a hankerchieve an in all the room gave you a dirty apperance. Like I said small money may not be fNcy but at least clean
“Good Hotel”
Good Location, nice staff
“I will stay in Hotel Costa Inn on my next trip to Panama.”
I like the Hotel Costa Inn, bar/restaurant is open 24/7 and they have a pool on the roof. I had a big room at the back with large windows and a great view. There is no carpeting but the room was cleaned every day along with clean sheets and fresh towels. It also had a jacuzzi tub and a bidet, didn't use either one. I stayed 2 weeks and had I been in one of the smaller rooms, I think I would have changed hotels. They only had a small window and no view. There was plenty of hot water but it took 10 minutes to arrive at the shower head. I'd turn on the shower, go shave, check a few Emails and by then there'd be hot water. The hotel staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. There is a gated parking lot if you've got a rental car (I didn't). There is a travel agency in the lobby, convenient for tours of the area or longer trips to different parts of the country. The breakfast buffet (included) was good and the food in the restaurant was good also, this isn't a gourmet restaurant. Other than breakfast, I ate about 8 meals there and have no complaints. You get a free shuttle service to and from the airport which would cost you around $60 R/T. The hotel is in a transitional area, not the barrio but close to it. That said, I always felt safe walking in that neighborhood and I'm 5'4", 64 yrs. old, not some hulk that a mugger would think twice about attacking. All in all, I think it's a good value and I will definitely stay there on my next trip to Panama City.
“It was a nice value based hotel”
We stayed at Costa Inn in May 2011 and were pleased with the hotel. We weren't expecting a Haytt, that being said, it was a great value for the money we paid. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was good and the location wes decent. I would stay here again.
“good basic value”
Basic hotel, no frills, good ac, free basic continental breakfast, pool on roof, bed wobbly, warm water only, will return. good 4 price
“Good for the price”
Free buffet breakfast and wi-fi. Restuarant is is open 24 hours. Rooftop swimming pool over looks the city sky line. Hotel is old but kept up.
“Worse Hotel I Ever Stayed”
This was the worse hotel I ever stayed. Actually I did not stayed because I left on the day I checked in. The bath tub was cloged, no soap, sink was also cloged. Bed sheets were the chepest anyone can find.
“Will return to this hotel”
Enjoyed short stay, people at desk very helpful with personal problem and the bank.
