RecommendablePosted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Open generous spaces, very comfortable
Location: Panama is what it is, so do not expect more than that. If you wish to stay downtown, the surroundings will always be more or less like that
Outstanding, well trained staff. Everyone very conscious of their role and task. One downside: many budget tours in the hotel. But apart from that very positive experience. We will return.

Nice HotelPosted Jan 10, 2015
Nice hotel not far from from major sites and shopping. The free breakfast in the morning was excellent and the staff were very helpful. We had the senior suite which was well appointed and comfortable. The seats in the dining area need to be replaced but that is a minor issue.

BUENA EXPERIENCIA EN LO GENERALPosted Jan 8, 2015
El hotel es bueno en general como cualquier otro riu, sin embargo le falta calidez y amabilidad con lis huespedes por parte de la gente que lo atiende. El buffet del desayuno excelente y los restaurantes tiene comida muy rica

Adequate proximity to shopping and restaurantsPosted Jan 6, 2015
Cons: Maybe a bigger pool.
Location: Shopping and restaurants are nice around the hotel.
Nice rooms, great food, nice people, hotel hospitality is the best.

Wonderful place, staff could use some trainingPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Hotel room was wonderful, buffet was delicious!
Cons: Staff training. Not everyone who has money gets all dressed up, some of us are IT nerds. Don't be so creepy to women.
Location: Hard Rock Hotel is nearby, we went to a few casinos, not too far to the waterfront and the new Trump hotel. Lot's of shopping nearby.
Everything was beautiful, breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. Location was pretty central. The staff could use some training. - Male wait staff at the restaurant outside were too flirty / creepy. - Staff in the lounge gave us dirty looks because apparently our appearance did not scream that we belonged there. We're from Seattle, so our dress is a little more casual than you're used to - deal with it! Every one of them asked us which room we were in and then changed their face after learning that we did belong there. - Out of quite a few liquors and food at the lobby bar. Mixed drinks are not good!

Great place if you like moldy smellPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: In general, everything, except for the mold.
Cons: Solve the mold problem - it really detracts from the glamorous image created by the outside of the hotel and the lobby.
In general, it is a very nice hotel - good staff, lobby, restaurant, pool area. Easy taxi access to major points in the city. WiFi works reliably. But they have a major problem with mold. The hallways have a powerful musty, moldy smell, due to the rugs and elevator shafts, that makes walking through the hotel to your room unpleasant. And the mold is in the rooms as well (though a can of Lysol can fix that). The HVAC system needs more dehumidifers, the rugs need to be sprayed with something like Lysol once a week - and the rooms shouldn't have any smell at all. Other hotels in Panama share the same problem. They turn up the air conditioners too much, more than is needed for the high temperatures outside, which leads to humid conditions in the hotel that mold thrives upon. It's a shame, since otherwise the hotel is quite nice, and a good price.

Hotel AgradablePosted Jan 4, 2015
