Convenient to airport, pleasant surroundings

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: Proximity to airport is excellent. Service friendly and helpful. Free shuttle back to airport a plus as is the early start to breakfast.
Cons: Slightly more lighting in the rooms.
Location: Airport is very close by. I never the left the hotel, but I know there is a shopping mall quite close by.
This was a 1 night stay whilst AI made the circuitous route from Cuba back to the USA. It was a $7 taxi ride from the very close by airport. Checkin was smooth and staff polite and helpful. On being taken to my room, the staff member checked that both the AC and cable to were working before he left. I had dinner in the restaurant (chicken Caesar and a beer) - food was good and service efficient but friendly. My room was very modern, clean and everything worked well - my only comment would be that there could be a few more lights in the main room area, but this is only a minor thing. Shuttle back to the airport runs every 30 minutes and breakfast starts at 5am which was great for me as I had an 8am flight. I would definitely stay here again.

Handiest to Airport, Free Shuttle with Ice Water!

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: Free shuttle (I think it runs every 30 minutes), WIFI, nice tropical grounds, 1 mile from airport, Comfortable bed and pillows
Cons: having a tub instead of just a shower, better lighting, better breakfast buffet - Even the coffee sucked big time!
Location: Nothing but quick access to airport
What I liked most was that it was closest to airport and shuttle was parked there waiting. Rough day of flying and unbelievably hot and dark for 8:00 at night! When I got into the shuttle I was so hot and exhausted and the driver handed me one, then two ice cold waters! I could have hugged him! Driver and folks at front desk spoke English. The room could have been really nice but no bathtub and I needed a hot soak so badly! (Disappointed but a lot of I found it weird to be all tile with no carpet, but I guess some people would like that. Being older, I hated the dim and limited lighting when I was trying to find things in the morning. It was much too dim and simply not enough. (I would have really been angry if I had wanted to wear makeup for example). The bed and pillows were comfortable (which I am extremely picky about). I had to call staff to help me with the TV and then later again to set the clock. They could not speak English but got the job done. The breakfast buffet was a waste of my time. I was mainly there to sleep and make sure I did not miss my plan in the morning. For my purposes I am glad i did not waste time with a longer drive to some other hotel. The grounds were beautiful but I had no time to swim or explore more amenities. Nice to have WIFI that worked. If I was vacationing I would have to have a place with a tub and lots more lighting! I just so happened to have a flashlight which I actually needed because they were so stingy with theirs.

Hotel in great location near the airport

Good Hotel for business near the airport, good food. But I stay on the room 112 and the room (carpet) smells horrible. Everything else was OK but this smell was horrible.

Close to airport with free shuttle

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: The bathroom and the bed
Cons: Breakfast and pool cleanliness
Location: Free shuttle to malls
Second time staying here. Free shuttle from airport is excellent and you can also have a free shuttle to two of the malls. Rooms are comfortable, especially the beds. Very nice bathrooms with good toiletries and rain shower. Breakfast is a little disappointing but adequate and BBQ and evening menu were good. Only real downside is the pool wasn't very clean.

Convenient to Airport, needs better AC

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: New, comfortable and convenient to the airport
Cons: More powerful AC units in the rooms.
The hotel is less than five minutes driving from the airport and has frequent shuttle service from the arrivals area of PTY. Look for the micro-bus with the hotel name and logo. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The facilities are very new. The only issue we had was that the AC unit in the room was not powerful enough to cool the room completely in the heat and humidity,

Overnight in Panama versus Lima

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Convenient, free reliable transport, nice spacious rooms
Cons: Insure hot water in rooms and functioning internet
Location: Only using it as a airport hotel
As a resident of Iquitos, Peru I now have the option to connect through Panama City instead of Lima Peru. From many location this requires staying the night in Panama City instead of finding an overnight stay in Lima. Head to head, the Riande is a much better option that the Costa del Sol in Lima and much more user friendly than some of the more economical options near the Lima airport. For this situation the Riande wins. Very nice rooms, good breakfast, transportation was free and easy to use. Downside is very slow immigration process in Panama, but the hotel has everything you need. My only disappointment. was no hot water in my room. The front desk offered to change my room, but it was late and making the change did not seem worth it. Internet was also down the night I arrived, but I have the same problem in Peru. Not worth the $116 price tag, but good enough to give it another try.

Awesome!

Posted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: PLACE, ROOMS,FOOD, HOSPITATILITY ( EXCEPT FOR ONE) , MOSTLY EVERY THING!
Cons: THE MOSQUITOS IN THE POOL AREA, BAR, AND UNDER THE HUT.
Location: VERY CONVINIENT, SINCE IS CLOSE TO THE AIRPORT.
REALLY ENJOYED THE HOTEL, THE STAFF WERE SO CORDIAL EXCEPT THE LADY WHO WAS AT THE FRONT DESK WHEN WE ARRIVED! SHE DOES NOT DESERVED TO WORK THERE, SHE DULLS THE SHINING OF THE REST OF THE STAFF.
