Nice hotel. Staff need training / managing.

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Hotel is in great shape. Food is very good. Waitresses need training. Not very attentive. Where is the management to make sure they are doing their job? English skills were poor. Is that why they were too shy to ask if we wanted a drink? Or a second cup of coffee?

Not so all inclusive

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: The beach and the pools
Cons: - Hire more staff. - Don´t try to make your money by not giving the guest the All Inclusive experience
We have stayed in many All inclusive resorts all over the world and this hotel was not a very good experience. There was only 1 person serving the bar at the pool and there were lines of around 10 people at all times waiting to get something to drink. We wanted to get some fruit or something to eat for our 2 year old at around 10:30 AM, not possible. The breakfast ended at 10AM and the pool restaurant didn´t open until 11AM. The check out is at 12PM so no lunch. In other All inclusive hotels we have stayed, you check out of the room at 12 but they allow you to stay and have lunch, not here. The don´t allow you to check in the hotel before 3PM, so basically if you go for the weekend not worth it!!!

all inclusive resort on the beach in Panama

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: location was not too far from city - about 1 hour drive. staff were so friendly and always helpful, especially front desk and at the buffet.
Cons: room is terrible for the price, shower is limited to one spray position (very narrow), room is small with no sitting area.
Location: n/a - there did seem to be a good kids program
Expected a much better product than we got. Room was small, promised rain-head showers are non-existent, food while plentiful is not all that great and there is little variety. that being said if you are willing to stand in line to make a reservation each day the Mediterranean restaurant is very pleasant and the salad bar fresh and varied. the steakhouse/BBQ by the ocean - best setting and should be best food was not open at all during our one-week stay. the gym and spa are good for a resort location. the weather of course is perfect day in and day out. the pool is noisy and there are only two small pools of the 7 or 8 small pools (they are all linked) that are deeper than a foot. in one of these you wage war with the swim up bar, the volley ball games, and the pool aerobics. Beach is nice.

Beautiful hotel with plenty of good food and drink

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Everything specially the Japanese food and show.
Cons: water activities.
Location: Nothing to do near by. right by a beautiful white sand beach.
some of bartenders (ladies) need bartender training, margaritas tasted different depending on who made it We had a great experience. The Japanese food and chef were terrific. In the morning I reported the elevator for not working but there were no signs posted to instruct guest to use the other elevator.

First time to Panama

Posted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: The cleaning lady we had did an exceptional job.
Cons: The cleanliness of the beach and more tour options from the resort as the resort is about 1.5 hours from Panama City.
Location: There were all kinds of excursions from the hotel but were very limited as to when they would occur and most required a minimum of 10 persons.
The actual facility was very nice, the beach was very disappointing, there were cigarette butts, broken plastic glasses, dead fish parts that smelled. We spent two hours on the beach and decided the rest of our vacation would be spent by the pool instead which was cleaned every day, etc. Not sure why they aren't maintaining the beach as they had umbrella, nice lounge chairs etc. We were also disappointed that the tour to the canal only went on Saturday's and they weren't willing to entertain a private excursion, as we were willing to pay to see this as this was one of our things we wanted to do while in Panama. The food at the resort was good to great. Mexican was excellent. Lots of variety. There were the usual resort activities and the entertainment was hit and miss.

Beautiful beach and pool areas

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: The beach was fantastic, very private, great for long walks!
Cons: Get rid of the constant booming music. Style of music was ok, just much louder than it needed to be. Staff could be friendlier and smile a bit.
Location: Not too much to do nearby 1 hr drive to town of El Valle a nice day trip, also Gamboa Rainforest and Panama Canal must sees!
Beach was amazing! Plenty of outdoor chaise lounges but could have had more umbrellas/shade areas. Pool areas were also very nice. Music was WAY too loud from morning to night. Staff weren't terribly friendly or happy, especially in gift shop. Food was quite good and very plentiful. Was our first experience with an all inclusive and we stayed for 7 nights. We found this to be a bit too long as you don't really get out to explore anything else when you're tied to the resort area. Housekeeping in room and in hallways didn't keep floors all that clean. Also each day they forgot to replenish one thing or another e.g. coffee/cream/sugar/facecloths. Room was usually cleaned quite late in day about 4ish around the same time we were coming back to get cleaned up after a day at beach.

Nice for a few days of relaxing

Posted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: The location and the beach are quite nice. The steakhouse restaurant is very good.
We are not "resort" people as we get bored at resorts and like to travel around and have more adventure, but after spending 3 nights in Panama City it was nice to relax for a few days at the Sheraton. It had all the amenities that we needed and the view from our ocean front room was quite lovely.

We have traveled the world and this ranks right at the top of our beach experiences right up there with Phuket Thailand. Beautiful beach, very private and excellent food even at the Buffett.

Nice hotel but they changed my reservation without

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Formal restaurant food is good and pools are outstanding for kids.
Cons: Regular food service in the all inclusive needs to be improved, and additional tables are needed as there's not enough space.
Location: Good location, near the city.
This is a nice hotel especially for children as it has many pools, however we faced a problem as I reserved a two queen bed room and they gave me one queen an a bunk bed really small. Fortunately I had no problems as my youngest kid was able to sleep there but this should not be done as the hotel is not cheap and having a full hotel is no excuse to change your reservation without letting you know in advance. Also the regular all inclusive food service was not good as there's not enough tables and you have to walk around 30 minutes to find a table if the hotel is full. The formal food service is great though, would reserve for every meal if going back.
